  1. Has to be a photo shop job!!!!!!!!!!! Pretty gruesome though!
  2. I found the the legs of a used Rage Toad make for some great action!!!
  3. That is the FATTEST bass i have ever seen!!!!!!
  4. You thought length but not weight? It looks very nice man! I would say 6 1/2lbs easy!
  5. Welcome home my man! You will love it here!
  6. The popper actually seems to draw more strikes for me. It makes a lot more noise and commotion than the 65. But my hook ups are reduced due to the smaller 3/0 hook on the poppers. Also, the popper seems to get hung easier in cover.
  7. Ok before you bash anything, lets clarify. $300? No, under $240 for the Champion series. Non Fuji guides ? This was by choice, and is partly why the rods are a bit more money. The guides are lighter, smaller, and I absolutely love them over the fuji guides. That is still pretty pricey for what you get! What is so good about these guides that would make you go as far as to say you "love" them over Fujis? Just curious that's all!
  8. I prefer the BPS paddle tail ones on an 1/8oz screw in hook!
  9. Yeah i thought that too but it's the only thing it really resembles! Unless you have discovered some new hybrid species or something. ;D
  10. This time of year on my lakes running a frog over the grass will out produce bottom bouncing techniques hands down!
  11. Looks like a Crappie to me.....................
  12. The Tru Tungsten Hard Gill performs this flawlessly! Mattlures Gill makes the Tru Tung look like a Fisher Price trinket. True, but will it doe the turn around "trick"? I have Matts gills and they don't turn like this!
  13. Man, i would love to drag a Spro or Rage frog through there! Then after i have caught the active ones, out comes the flippin' stick!!!!!! ;D
  14. I agree with this! I have a Berkley $20 scale that is actually very accurate! I say 7-8 1/2lbs easy! I have caught 24" bass that only weighed 7lbs though!
  15. The Tru Tungsten Hard Gill performs this flawlessly!
  16. I figured this out very quickly....................it is my wife! Every time she goes i will catch nothing or just a couple of dinks!
  17. It all depends on the fish and conditions you are fishing. Bigger fish or heavier cover, stronger line and vice verse!
  18. yeah i've cut my hands pulling snags with braid and even setting the hook (i put my index finger under the level wind), but never flipping. when i flip i hold my rod in my right hand and i hold the bait by the hook shank in my left hand. i don't hold the line above the lure in my left hand because that seems like i'm just asking to get hooked... That would be pitching not flipping!
  19. I will go with 4lbs as well! Nice colors on that thing!
  20. Just do what everyone else does, proceed to catch 3lb fish, hold it, than say yup, this one will go 7lbs easy! Take picture, post to Outing forums and say something like GREAT DAY, 10lb LMB...................................... :-?
  21. Thats a pretty lame excuse. If a person takes me out on their boat, I think I should atleast offer to pay for part of the gas even if they were going fishing anyway. I know that when I take someone with me I often do burn more gas. I, as the boater, feel somewhat obligated to get them on fish and that usually means driving more than I regularly would. Utlimately if someone is nice enough to take you on the boat, you are sharing in the fun derived from that trip and thus should share in the expense the trip cost. Its not only the fair way to do it, its the right thing to do. And, reading the story, the guy did more than just refuse to pay for gas. While we may not have the whole story, most of what was said isn't a gray area. It sounds pretty cut and dry. How do you justify taking a guys food and drink? If that behavior is okay with you, so be it, to each his own. That person wouldn't go fishing with me again. And frankly, if that behavior is no big deal to you, I wouldn't want you on my boat either. THANK YOU Ellesar!!!!! The point i tried to make was that it isn't about gas, money food or whatever! It is the way he went about things in general! His whole attitude was the part that upset me!
  22. Are you kiddin me guy!?! I mean really!?! Are you one of these people or what.........................................
