  1. HE told everyone at work how much fun it was fishing with me!?! I had many people call me and ask, you actually took that gy fishing!?! Yeah, now they warn me! LOL, live and learn i guess..................
  2. Two keepers in one pic! WAY TO GO MAN! BTW, you didn't pay some girl to take that pic and then say she is your GF, right!?! Just kidding man!
  3. Look no further my man, here ya go! http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44440_100010004_100000000_100010000_100-10-4 These are what i use for flippin' and they do great! Lets the sinker slide up and out of the way easily!
  4. The coloring on those things is awesome man! GREAT JOB
  5. It is a HUGE company and we are in different departments of it. We only see each other twice a week at scheduled meetings the company holds. Trust me, i had no idea man! And no Burley, i am no soft touch! I just hate confrontations on the water! I only fish once a week so i try my hardest to make it enjoyable each time!
  6. It can definitely be successful providing the timing/presentation and water depth is right. It never hurts to try!
  7. The cover and structure sound ideal to me. We have been "killin" them with Rage toads, Spro 65 frogs and Rat-L-Traps in the early morning around cover. Once the sun is high and hot we have been doing great forcing the bite by flippin T-rigged plastics right on there nose. Also, if there is a little chop on the water try a big spinnerbait on those points man! BEST OF LUCK
  8. Team All Star Big Boy 7' 2" MH/F if you will be fishing thick cover and braid. As for the reel you can't beat the Revo S for the $ IMO! Although a 7:1:1 ratio would be ideal the S model will be more than enough speed for frogs.
  9. HECK NO i am not taking him anywhere! I forgot the best part though. When the day was over, i had to walk FAR to get the truck and trailer(parking lot is far away). After i back it up and load the boat he jumps in the truck, cranks up the a/c and just lays back. I usually spend about 15min cleaning up the trash, emptying live wells strapping the boat down etc. Needless to say, i did that on my own as well! But, you are right RW, i am just going to forget this day ever happened and move on!
  10. This rod paired with a Revo STX would be perfect!
  11. I have a tackle box for just my plastics. I use big zip-loc bags and organize them by style, size and color. For example, all 8" curly tail Red Shad worms in one bag etc. I use Falcon Spinnerbait boxes and they are perfect!
  12. I mainly stick to covering the three depths if the bite is non existing. First i will start with a top water plug or a shallow runner, then i will try a mid running crank and last i will throw a deep runner. Color is usually the last thing i worry about unless the water is very clear. I will try and find the fish first.
  13. I love taking people with no boat out fishing with me and showing them a good time but this is ridiculous! Every person i have taken out on the lake will offer food and gas. I rarely take either unless they insist but it's the thought that counts. I will usually have my wife pack an extra plate for my partner anyways. I didn't today because we hardly know each other and i didn't know if he would take it(NO PROBLEM THERE)! I wouldn't have minded any of this if he would have just went about it the right way! I have had buddies tell me right away they are broke but will get it next time and that is fine with me! This guy never even offered and still had the nerve to ask if we were going again next weekend!
  14. x2 X3
  15. First off, let me say this is kinda long and may sound unbelievable to some. So i get news that everyone at my work was going to have today off as part of the holiday weekend. There is a guy there that has been asking to fish with me for about 6 months now. So he calls me Sun and asks if i want to go out on the lake Mon. Since i didn't get to go Sat i said yes. We agreed to split gas and on a time and place Sun night(my truck and boat). Well this morning he calls at about 5am and tells me he needed his gas to drive to work this week and wants me to pick him up at his house. I delayed the trip 45min to go and get him. We stop to get gas and he asks me for $ for a cigarette lighter! We get on the lake and he has nothing but his rods/reels with him! Than he asks, "what ya got for breakfast"? He had no food, drinks, snacks, spare hooks/weights nothing! I gave him 1/2 my breakfast my wife always packs me and my drinks as well. Throughout the day he used three bags of Zoom worms i have in a color that is no longer sold in stores. A whole pack of my Gamakatsu hooks and tungsten weights! And picked up one of my Falcon rods and started using it without even saying a word! He never even asked if he could get my stuff! I was so shocked that i was expecting to wake up at any moment! I figured i would make the best of it and we start fishing. He catches the first 2 fish about 5min into it and can't stop bragging. He looks at me and says, "must suck to have all that expensive gear and get out fished by someone with Wal-Mart stuff"(all he uses). I ignore it and proceed to catch 15 fish within the next 5 hours while he got only 2 more! He than starts talking about how non competitive he is and doesn't care about who catches more!?! Needless to say i could not wait to drop him off! Anyone who knows me will say i am not a stingy person. All i ask is you be upfront and tell me how it is going down. I don't mind sharing food, tackle or whatever as long as you atleast ask first! As i was typing this he calls me up and asks, "so we going fishing again next weekend" > > > > > > > > > Sorry about the rant guys but it was either vent or punch him out tomorrow at work!!!!!!!!
  16. The only way, T-rigged and skin hooked for less hang ups. You may also want to look into the screw in hooks like used for top water frogs. Or even keel weighted hooks to allow a faster fall and deeper depths..
  17. I would save and buy one good reel like some have already stated! Personally, i have not found a reel that casts smoother and farther than a Revo STX.
  18. I organize mine by putting all lures with the same diving depths together. I print labels out and stick them onto the dividers to remind me of those depths.
  19. I use a 4/0 Gamakatsu EWG and 15lb fluoro on flukes. I just cast out, wait a few sec and begin twitching the bait 4-5 times then pause for a few sec and repeat.
  20. I have a few that i ordered but have not used any yet! They look sweet though! http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1245436166
  21. Right behind ya man! This crowd is dead!! ;D
  22. Palomar, nice and wet!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
  23. Out of those i would go with the Fenwick rod. They are known for great rods at a reasonable price. i have owned a few HMGs and Techna AVs and they are sweet!
