  1. I expect that from Wal-Mart but i have had this happen to me at BPS as well! Even though it is wrong, i sometimes act as if i am a beginner and see what kind of crap they will feed me! I was in there about three weeks ago i think. I grabbed a Loomis rod and asked the rep if they had a different style. He pointed me to where they supposedly where. I said i already checked there and there are no Loomis rods there. He proceeded to walk me to some Shimano Crucial rods and handed me a MH/EX Fast rod! LOL, i have fun with them when i drop by!
  2. OMG, i almost fell out when i saw this! Not sure if you can fish it, you kiddin me a man!?! That is flippin' stick heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where is this at?
  3. That looks like my " I am a better angler than you" look! LOL ;D
  4. Words from the wise indeed! He stole my answer so, I would have listened to people who told me that there won't always be bass on the banks! It took me years to get out of the habbit of bank beating! I am a much better angler now that i do.
  5. I too broke one on a hook-set into a super dink! They are very brittle and weak man! I would get a Lightning rod instead. They are very stout.
  6. 10" Berkley PowerBait worm in JuneBug
  7. Man, i would love to throw that dragon in some FL slop!!!!!!!!!
  8. Berkley PowerBait Chigger Craw
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong Dodge, but you were once a PowerPro guy who moved to Sufix braid, and now I see you're an advocate of Fireline braid. Though I skipped over Sufix (tried it, but didn't like it), I too was a PowerPro advocate who has moved to "Berkley Fireline Tracer Braid". Don't get me wrong, I love everything about PowerPro for spinning tackle, but with one glaring exception. I apparently encountered a bad bulk spool, and my wife and I were both breaking off big bass on a regular basis. Sure enough, an Internet search revealed that PowerPro themselves admitted to having QA issues. Not surprisingly, PowerPro will replace any bad spools, but you can't replace lost bass. I'm not looking for Six Sigma perfection, but IMO the quality control at PowerPro is unacceptable. Fortunately, Berkley Fireline braid possesses all the same positive attributes I found in PowerPro, but without inexplicable breakage. By The Way: Most anglers would agree that "braided polyethylene" is better suited to spinning tackle than to baitcasting gear. In my opinion, the line materials best suited to baitcasting are the three monofilament lines (fluoro, nylon & copolymer). In the same camp are KVD and Dance who prefer fluoro mono for baitcasting, several on the forum who prefer nylon mono for baitcasting (e.g. Trilene Big Game), and many who prefer copolymer mono (e.g. Sufix Siege, Yo Zuri & P-Line CXX). Roger Finally, somebody with some sense! Well said ROLO!!!
  10. WALK THE DOG baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I always get asked while on the lake: how many ya got in the boat? Your fish was in the boat so it counts!
  12. This is how 90% of mine looks! Where to start!?!
  13. I just stick to 4 colors and i use them for any water, clear or stained. This method has always produced for me year round. The colors are JuneBug, Watermelon/red flake, Black and Chartreuse pepper.
  14. What kind of swimbait is it? I had a wake bait that did this a while back. Turned out to be one of the joints was slightly kinked. A pair of need nose pliers fixed it right up.
  15. My personal experience in local lakes is that the shallows are pretty much empty! With the exception of a straggling dink or two. The big girls are in deeper, cooler waters. The lakes i fish are only 9ft at there deepest point.
  16. For many years all i used were round Abus and loved them. Than i got my first low profile and the rest is history!!!!!
  17. I have one left on a "beater" set-up for pond fishing. They are great reels especially for the price! They are smooth, cast a mile and very strong. You can get them or the SilverMax on Ebay dirt cheap. I would recommend the Revo S as a starter reel honestly.
  18. T-Rigged 8" worm in JuneBug color I ALWAYS keep one on all day long!!!!!
  19. Simple, tie on a Spro Bronzeye frog and a Rage Tail toad and they will inhale them!!!!
  20. IMO, the King Shad is the biggest piece of garbage i ever used! It has no action whatsoever! The hooks are not very sharp and it will break apart if it hits even a tree limb! For $20 you could get a Spro BBZ-1 Shad that performs and looks a million times better! Just my piece though!
  21. Works a lot better on casting reels IMO. ALSO, Power Pro is the worst at line twists and stiffness! Suffix or FireLine Braid is A LOT BETTER!!
  22. Let em know Chris man, let em know!!!! Half the people who dog braid have never even tried it long enough to hook a fish IMO!!!!
  23. X2 From the company that brought you Vanish :... Fireline, Fireline Chrystal, Fireline Braid, it doesn't matter its all trash. I don't care if the new Fireline Braid has 8-strands, 20-strands, or 36-strands, Power Pro is still the best out there, maybe behind Daiwa Samurai braid which I have yet to try. Hmmmmmmm, FireLine Braid is stronger, limper, smaller diameter, rounder so less wear on guides, quieter, less color fade....................yeah, your right, GEEEEZ, what was i thinking!!!!!! ;)
  24. My big bro kills the Reds with an all white Rage Shad and a 5/0 SuperLine Gammy!!!!!
  25. A lot of people on here own Falcons man! Personally, i own 4 Cara T7s all together. They are amazing rods IMO!
