  1. I also only fish one brand, River2Sea Blings
  2. I use 1/4 oz for the 4.8 Keitechs
  3. I think Lucky Craft is discontinuing the baits
  4. I like the Live Pointer when I troll for Stripers....Just used a Cabelas gift card I have been sitting in forever to stock up now
  5. I only use the 110...I bought one 115 and tried it, I can get away with the 110 in shallow water with no issues...I ended up getting rid of the 115
  6. Or a Renegade Crankbait they sell at Walmart?
  7. The only frog I fish....great bait
  8. I fish them with either a 5/0 Flipping hook or a 5/0 EWG.
  9. Can't go wrong with the LC Pointers 100s. I also fish the Luck E Strike RC Styx as well. Great action and colors but you will also need to upgrade hooks. If you need to get a little deeper, also the Lucky Craft Staysees are another great bait
  10. I would say spoons all day long. If I'm hitting only 20-30 feet I can get a way with a 1/2oz spoon, anything deeper I'm looking to bump up to a 3/4 oz or 1oz spoon. A couple spoons I use are the Bass Pro Shop Tungsten Spoon, Crippled Herring, and finally the Blade Runner Duh Spoon.
  11. I stopped by one on Thursday...its on my way home from work. It was empty this late in the sale and plus it was a Thursday. Only picked up two packs of the BPS Speed Shads to see how well they knocked off Keitech....They still had a decent inventory of everything except maybe Trokar hooks...I agree sales have gotten worse through the years and I'm ok with that, it means I just spend more at TW
  12. I have a pair of Costa's Stringer 580G in Green Mirror. I bought these probably 8 years ago or so from Cabelas. I just looked and mine doesn't say 580 on it at all. I don't know if that is something on newer pairs of glasses or model specific. I will say when I bought mine 8 years ago I decided to treat myself to the glass lenses over plastic...I'm so glad I did, they have held up to a lot of abuse. As for tightening the screw, I think I've done it once or maybe twice on my pair in the 8 years I've had them. My pair has both ear pieces touching on a flat surface when I put it down as described.
  13. we have the same restriction in California. I just attach the dummy plastic baits directly to the snap swivel on the A-Rig...no need to buy anything else
  14. Yup you can buy knockoff blanks pretty cheap. I had a buddy who bought a bunch of LC 1.5 knockoffs on his trip to China for less than $1 a bait. Some swam good others did not. He had the better ones painted and still uses them years later
  15. I think a lot of the recent crankbait innovations have come from companies based outside of the traditional companies like Pradco, Norman, Rapala, Heddon, etc....I see it from companies like Lucky Craft, Megabass, Duo Realis, Ima, Spro. I think the consolidation is based on economies of scale to compete...if you can win with innovation, you better win on price
  16. Yes I've used them and still prefer the Yamamoto swimming senko...The Yum I tried was thinner than the swimming senko, it still had some decent tail action though. Also I prefer the Zoom Ultravibe speedworm over the Yum version since again its thicker. When it comes to the regular Yum Dinger, I'm a fan...fish those more than Yamamoto and like they are a lot cheaper.
  17. My favorite is the 130 size in Bone...I think the 90 size is sort of useless as I've had 12" fish take the 130 size. For me I've found a slowest retrieve possible has brought me the most luck...
  18. Roboworms...Roboworms...Roboworms....Guess what I use?..>Either the FX Sculpin for 4.5" Straight tail are my go to baits..
  19. 1/10 and 1/16 is what I use...and I've ditched the baitcaster and use spinning for these
  20. Lake Piru has quagga mussel....so you probably don't want to launch there. Both Pyramid and Castaic have inspections and in normal fashion boats must be clean and dry
  21. megabass...vision 110 are hard to beat....
  22. The Molix Supernato Beetle looks like the expensive brother of the old school Jitterbug....the only difference that it appears more weedless...I bet it won't last as long as the Jitterbug.
  23. I use some 1oz baits but that's for Stripers...other than that I basically only throw the 5/8 oz Spro Arukus
  24. camman replied to Ghostshad's topic in Fishing Tackle
Reaction Innovations Little Dipper, Strike King Menace, and any 5" grub
