Kinami cut tail worms
Definitely shakey. It will give that "nose down feeding shad" look to it which is irresistable.

i need help fishing with lake fork magic shad
Roadwarrior uses these with Swormin' Hornets when the bite is off. Give that a shot.

A bait you hate to use
Certainly tough lures to have success with (unless you know the secret, that is). The Bionic Minnow has caused me fits, but the Mighty Bite is my true arch nemesis. Everyone else on TV can catch fish with them, so why can't I?

Magnetic Brakes, Centrifugal Brakes or Both
4 is way too many brakes to have on, unless you are just learning. I use 2 on and magnetics off, for the reels that I have with both brakes. When I go for extra distance, I go with just 1 centrifugal on and fine tune the magnetic.

WD-40 on reels...
Some local Texans I know also use it for scent. I'd rather use Megastrike.

WD-40 on reels...
It's properties as a lubricant for anything is non-existent because it is indeed a solvent. It's not a silicone spray, it's a degreaser. It leaves a light film of itself behind but that's like using Simple Green and not wiping it off after you apply it - i.e. simply a solvent residue left over.

Baitcaster for light stuff...........
So far air resistance of what is being thrown hasn't been brought up. Big difference in throwing a 1/8 bullet weight vs. a 1/8 oz Hula Grub.

Upgrades for baitcasters?
For 5. - which reels come with them, or, how do you tell if your reel has them or not?

KVD Rod Setup in Classic
Don't let it go to you. BR has, and will always have, a herd mentality when it comes to piling on for or against a product. Try to rise above the noise.

Mark Zona "Interviews" Glenn!
You know you've "arrived" when Zona interviews you. It would be great to see Ike win it. It appears the board has adopted him based on his participation/interviews; and rightly so.

For very shallow reasons...............
It isn't the name, it's what's inside. Um, isn't that Pantera's point?

Questions about Berkley Vanish Leader
x2. Run, don't walk, away from Vanish.

abu garica preimer/stx/sx
They beefed up the drag on the Premier to 20lbs for this year but the STX is 24. The SX does not have centrifugal brakes, while the other 2 do.

Shimano Core 100Mg
Did you mean $290 plus $10?

I bought a cheap rod today
Did Steezy change his username? ;D

50$ Baitcaster?
Used. Look for a used BPS Pro Qualifier, Extreme, Rick Klunn. Keep an eye on the Flea Market, but lots of the above on eBay.

need help - haven't had a new rod in almost 30 yrs.
Don't apologize for the Ugly Stick - they make excellent cranking rods because of the blend. Very under appreciated for that. However in the OP's case, I assume he's looking for an all around setup, so you're right - forget the Ugly Stick.

need help - haven't had a new rod in almost 30 yrs.
Basspro will have their Spring Fling shortly, usually with some very good combo pricing deals (last couple of years have been somewhat disappointing imo).

Fishing Rods with Broken (& Repaired) Tips??
Flech must be on vacation. He explained this in detail 6 months or so ago. JF is correct; breaking the tip lowers the flex point thus slowing the action.

Leader Knots
x1 bajillion. The greatest leader knot ever, and even easier to tie than the Uni to Uni. RW posted a Youtube of it numerous times in the past, which I can't recommend highly enough.

New world record?
Read the threads listed above; IGFA requires a 2 oz difference in order to be declared heavier. Kurita's was only 1 ounce, hence they declared it a tie.

UPDATE* E7 let down
The Reel Wars are the best threads on BR, hands down. I was sure RW was going to go all Bruce Banner when it was suggested there are problems with the Curado. ;D

UPDATE* E7 let down
Something is seriously wrong; there's no way a Curado is *that* bad. Clean/relube and see, but if you can exchange it, I would go that route. I'm not sure if it's possible to buy a crappy baitcaster in that price range these days.
