  1. I'd recommend you post this in the Tacklemaking forum. 3 places you can try: www.fishingskirts.com www.*** www.barlowstackle.com
  2. So even with the smilies you still missed it?
  3. Try Fireline Crystal. I'm quite fond of the stuff.
  4. You could also try an oil based wood stain.
  5. After going through the nose, you find where on the other end of the tube the hook curve will be (like you would any other t-rig plastic), then pinch the back end so it's flat and the hook point goes through both layers at the same point. After that, just skin hook it.
  6. x2. As a topwater it has out-produced the Rage Shad for me. It has worked with both a weighted or unweighted hook as top water, you just have to work it a bit faster with the weighted.
  7. Yup sure does and your the only one lately that I have seen using it...Kudos x2. I nominate Nate for Bassresource User Of The Week.
  8. I'm gonna hold out for a smaller one. That grip is kind of hard to palm.
  9. Nicely done! Soon you'll be opening your own online store....
  10. Depends on your style and what length rod you prefer. Myself, I would choose between the 4C70MF or the 4C70MHF. I personally prefer the MF better but others prefer the MHF.
  11. Like all opinions that's a subjective call and you are certainly entitled to it. If you had a friend who asked about X and you hadn't used it but you passed on RW's wisdom on it, and if that person tried it and it worked for them - that would be good advice without your own experience. And that's just one possible permutation. But that's just my own subjective opinion.
  12. There's bad advice from people who have actually used the gear, and there's good advice from people who haven't. Opinions expressed here are just additional data points to be filtered accordingly. I would rather have them, and be responsible for my own decisions, than not.
  13. Yes. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1245863950
  14. So you *could* be happier with them? I kid! I kid! Sorry, couldn't resist....
  15. ***'s senko - easily.
  16. Those are both going to be tough (weightless) if there's swift current. The senko will work but you're going to need a bullet weight and fish it like a worm. You mentioned tubes; I would use those with a ball head or tube head jig inside - 1/4oz or less/more depending on how swift the current is.
  17. And so with this and the snookums thread Bassresource has come full circle. 2 months ago you couldn't read anything but "I love Carrot Stix" threads. The hype machine was at its finest. Not saying the rod is good or bad as I've never seen or used one. Just the herd mentality that seems to crop up here a lot. Now the herd is on the downside of the Carrot stix love....
  18. Wow - rough on the old pocket book. But great story!
  19. Any recommendations on where I can get Lumaflex skirts, cheap?
  20. Have you ever fished plastics before and caught fish? If not, they may be hitting you just aren't aware of it. I'd recommend you learn how to fish a plastic worm, Texas rigged, in the river. That will always catch fish.
  21. It's interesting that he didn't bow out of the deal quietly as other possible sponsors will be concerned that he may trash their gear too for whatever reason. He's an exec, so he knows this, which makes it that much more intriguing to me.
  22. My perspective is the opposite - the S is the better reel with the better brakes. Just my opinion.
  23. Nicely done!
  24. I checked and both *** and Bpro (online) have them. Wait for the next 15% off at TW and you'll be in like Flint. Obviously no triple points for TW but 15% would seem to be better (plus free shipping). I assume Bpro online won't give you the triple points as well; or more like I'd be surprised if they did.
