  1. Yamaha offers jet drive outboards in 40, 60, 90, & 115 HP Mercury offers jet drive outboards in 25, & 40 HP
  2. I still use rubber skirt on jig occasional; dry the rubber skirts, sprinkle with baby powder that keeps them fresh. Raul I got thousands of them a Academy want some
  3. Tiny Zip Tie, Zip Tie Gun, Jig, 15 seconds and done
  4. Cocked, Locked, & Ready to Rock
  5. The most valid indicator of a team's superiority would be the final BCS rankings. There are five SEC teams (LSU, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Auburn) in the BCS top 25 of these LSU beat Florida, Tennessee, and Auburn; plus they stomped Virginia Tech There are three from the Big 10 (OSU, Illinois, and Wisconsin) in the BCS top 25 of these OSU beat one and lost to one.

When: early pre-spawn Where: main lake points 10-15' of water Technique: reel keeping the trap a couple of feet below the surface and bounce it off wood. When: pre-spawn Where: feeder creek channels 10-15' of water Technique: make a long cast, let the trap free fall to the count of 10, kneel on the deck, sticking 1 ½ to 2' of your rod tip in the water and slowly reel. When: slightly before spawn Where: feeding/spawning flats 3 to 5' of water Technique: slow roll like you would spinner baits When: post spawn Technique: reverse the first three
  7. People often respond to failure and frustration by over-complicating theory and technique. As much as it helps our egos to regard a difficult task as complex, this type of thinking is often the biggest obstacle between you and fishing success. It takes a rare breed of fisherman using simple techniques to perfection to consistently catch big bass. Quotes from Hannon's Big Bass Magic
  8. Just because a team goes undefeated does mean they are a good team example Ohio State 2006 12-0 Florida 12-1; who was clearly the best team. What y'all aint understanding is it's aint about going undefeated or who's the best team, it's about money. The only true way to determine who the best team is would be a playoff system which is why every sport in the world has one except College football.
  9. Citica, Cardiff, or Revo
  10. If you friend is losing transom mounted transducer he's mounting then to low; as for the trolling motor a MinnKota will solve that problem.
  11. Oldham's Screw-Lock Jigs with Gamakatsu hooks $2.99 for a pack of 2 but like Raul I've catch hundreds of bass on Wal-Mart Renegade Jigs.
  12. I consider myself a recreational angler who has fished tournaments trails but I'm also competitive and will take a challenge at the drop of a hat; heck I'm usually the one that drops the hat. "People in life who are the happiest don't have the best of everything; they make the best of everything they have" What I have is God given ability to locate/read structure and I use this ability to catch both quality bass and quantities of bass; I can do it with one rod if necessary. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the key to being a successful angler is between your ears not between the folds of your wallet.
  13. I could spend hours trying to get you to understand how the BCS supposedly works but Glenn might get upset for taking up to much space. The complexity of the BCS is why the people want a playoff; simply put your team on the field against my team and the winner takes all. The reason there isn't a playoff is there are two conferences one out west and one up north who have huge contracts with certain bowls guarantying them 10s of millions more than the other conferences. With a playoff system certain big colleges are afraid they might not be in the playoffs and other conferences would have more teams in a playoff than under the BCS. And you thought catching bass was complicated
  14. If you do a little research you'll find they actually list all 119 BCS teams; this is how the six computers combined with the USA Today and Harris Interactive polls come up with BCS ranking.
  15. No lucky is Stanford a 42 point underdog beating the almighty USC Trojans or Pittsburg beating WVU. #27 is ranked otherwise the list would stop at #25 & not #35 go to the BCS web site click on view complete list.

Would y'all quite changing your aviator; us Cajuns can't read so the pictures help us figure out who's who.
  17. 24/7/365 batteries are always on the charger at home; 75/12/2 amp Schumacher On the lake I use a 12V Phase Charger. Phase Charger senses when the alternator output indicates that the crank battery is charged, then an internal 4-amp relay connects the troll and crank batteries in parallel so that the troll battery is charged while the motor is running. When the motor is turned off, and the alternator output is no longer present, the parallel circuit is opened and the troll and crank batteries are isolated for use.
  18. Here's one I've done for years I use a tiny zip tie on all my spinner bait & jigs skirts; faster than hand tying 8-)
  19. 1) Underwater islands, mounds, or humps: Bait fish will gather on the upper end of these mounds and the bass will bunch up to feed on them. Rat-L-Trap fished across these areas or a 7 to 8 worm can fill your stringer quickly. 2) Outside bends of a river or creek: Because of the water flow in the river or creek a ridge has been formed on the outside of the bend. Find the point of these ridges; Texas Rigs, Carolina Rigs, Crank Baits or Jigs. 3) Spots where two creeks intersect or where a feeder creek intersects with the main river are areas experienced deep water anglers seeks. Inside the Y created by the intersection is where you want fish; Texas Rigs, Carolina Rigs, Crank Baits or Jigs. 4) Submerged roadbeds: These are common migration routes to and from spawning areas in the spring, they also hold feeding bass in the summer: Texas Rigs, Carolina Rigs, Crank Baits or Jigs. I locate these on a topographic map or aerial photo & then pinpoint with my depth finder.

My personal best was caught on Toledo Bend 02/07 on a Bill Lewis ½ oz Rat-L-Trap Red Chrome it tipped the scales at 12.8 lbs
  21. The Sooners beat now ranked #6 Missouri, #19 Texas, & #29 Texas Tech; still only 3 ranked wins to LSU's 4 so y'all win the right to play West Virginia. Keep in mind Ohio State is 0-8 against the SEC in bowl games so I guess the SEC is over rated. Les Miles is a Michigan Wolverine to the bone and he would love nothing better than to beat Ohio State
  22. Has any team ever undergone so much and still come out on top? 1) Lose 4 First round draft picks - Starting QB, 2x starting WRs, Starting FS. 2) Lose OC. 3) Lose WR coach. 4) Lose a valuable defensive lineman due to academic problems. This is all before the season even started. 5) Injuries during summer camp that limited players' abilities to develop: J. Mitchell, Cutrera, etc. 6) Constant in house comparisons/criticisms. Then: 5) Lose their number 1 receiver 2 weeks into the season (did come back but still struggles with injuries) 6) Lose a key cog in their defensive line, Charles Alexander, who was really asserting himself next to Dorsey. 7) Loses their best player, Glenn Dorsey, for the back half of the season. He "played" but obviously wasn't himself? 8) Lose their starting QB for 2 full games - played with him at half health for another 2-3. 9) A litany of other injuries which hindered different players (Steltz, Taylor, C. Jackson, D. Beckwith) 10) DC embroiled in head coaching talk. 11) Head coach embroiled in head coaching talk. 12) Back-up QB gets in bar altercation. 13) Having to break in 2 converted D-lineman on the O-line, one who seemed to be an emerging star. And still: 14) 2 losses #27 Arkansas and bowl eligible Kentucky in triple overtime 15) Beat 4 BCS Ranked opponents, 2 bowl eligible opponents, & win their conference Has any other team undergone so many troubles/losses and came out successfully. When I see teams like OU, Oregon, West Virginia, USC etc. struggle when their starting QB goes down, yet LSU loses theirs and can win their conference championship game - I think it says a lot about how good the whole of the team actually is. And perhaps a lot about the caliber of Coach Miles is.
  23. There are clearly only 2 teams that can be considered for the national championship game Ohio State with 1 loss to an unranked team; 2 wins over #32 Michigan & #33 Penn State LSU whose 2 losses were to #27 Arkansas and bowl eligible Kentucky in triple overtime; LSU has beaten 4 BCS Ranked opponents (more than anybody in the nation) & 2 bowl eligible opponents. Kansas has only one loss to #6 Missouri but no wins over ranked teams The only other team with a better record is Hawaii with no losses but they are not part of the BCS. So who are the several teams with better records?
