I really wish I had discovered this site earlier in my bass fishing career. The wealth of knowledge here is just staggering. You can sit back and read just the articles alone for days. Once you start really reading through some of the different threads you realize how much more there is to learn and try.

It was more of a joke as to the legions of bandwagon fans that jumped all over the Saints last year. Of course they have fans.

If you can find the right screen, replacing it yourself may just work. I've replaced several cracked LCD's on laptops. Fairly straightforward. Just make sure you don't have any extra parts when you get finished.

I've got a pair of Samsung 42 LED TV's. I really couldn't complain at all with them. It took me a while to really get used to how good the image is. There are times where you'd swear that stuff was 3D. It's got amazing depth. Football has never looked so good. Just remember though, your picture is only as good as the feed. Comcast sends out a disgustingly poor HD signal. FiOS and U Verse have much, much better image quality Like Baker said, make sure you use HDMI cables. You will notice a difference on the LED TV's.

For me it's a jig or a soft plastic. Lately though the bite has totally turned off down here. I'm counting my days until some of the cooler weather comes back. It's been almost too hot to fish lately.

Shave twice a month? Man, what I wouldn't give for that. I've got to get my clippers out daily if I'm going into meetings with clients. If I'm just in the shop working, I can get by with once every couple of days...

I agree with Nate about not needing a bunch of rods and reels. I could very easily fish and be happy with a pair of rods. That being said, I enjoy having more setups handy. No it doesn't take all that long to retie, but having the proper tool for the job is quite nice. I use all of my rods equally over the year. Last time I went out, I didn't bring my cranking rod. Mind you, there are trips where I've gone out and only used the crank rod all day long. Buy whatever you want to buy. Don't think that having thirty rods or 400 dollar rods is going to make you a better fisherman though.

Agreed. It's a hard one to pick. It's a 50/50 shot either way. Bama has lots of depth. PSU is coming in looking for a signature win that they really haven't had for a while. My only concern would be PSU's history of having spotty play. Some games they show up big time, others they look like a high school team. Miami-OSU, Bama-PSU. Hard to ask for a better set of games in week 2.

The Miami v. Ohio state game actually is a day game. Kickoff at 3:40. I'm kind of surprised, that would be a fairly good TV draw. Big Miami games have always had record television numbers.

Now its lame! I stocked up on terminal tackle and some Frogs of course!! x2 I wanted another rod. Could have used some beavers and whatnot also. Oh well.

Miami vs. OSU! Time for a sweater vest stompin all day butt whuppin. God I hate the Buckeyes. Miami should win it. They've got more than enough talent now. The problem is that none of the guys on the team have ever gone into a big stadium like that. Home field advantage is really going to be a factor. If UM can jump out early, they'll win it. If I was a betting man, I'd take Alabama as much as I hate Nick Satan. ------------------------- Florida struggling wasn't a big surprise to me. I've been calling it for a couple of years now. That entire team was based around Tebow. Without him, the offense looks lackluster at best. They're going to have a rough year. I wouldn't be surprised if they lose three or four games. One of those games will be to FSU who looked very good in Jimbo's first game in charge. I'd pick Bama, and LSU to beat them. South Carolina could get a W against them also. -------------------------

Hold a white bait up in the moonlight and a black one. Which one do you see better? Darker colors tend to absorb light, where lighter colors tend to reflect them. If there is very little ambient light there would be very little reflected light. With a darker color, it tends to trap available light. You won't necessarily see any details, but you'll have a very good outline of the lure.

Hopefully I can actually show my face as a Dolphins fan again. Although I don't have my hopes up for anything spectacular, the potential is there for a playoff run. Miami just needs to figure out what players might actually work well in the secondary.
