I've been using a Dobyns 733 for lipless cranks. Does a great job of it. Has enough power to rip the lure out of grass, and still has enough flex to not pull the hooks free from the fishes mouth.

Boy, that would be fun as all hell from the beach. I've done it from the boat before, but how cool would that be when surf fishing. Snook, you've given me something else to fantasize about....

Having never fished the Delta, I can't really compare the two. It definitely is a place that everybody should try to visit some day. It is a heck a of a trip from your neck of the woods. Thats a beast of a drive if you were to haul the boat down.

If you do some searching around here on the forums, a while back somebody posted up a few pictures of a tool they had or made. Basically they took a set of non-grooved pliers and drilled a hole in one side of them. Line the hole up with one side of the pin, and squeeze. The pin pops through the hole. Then you pull it out the rest of the way. Looked like a very easy way to do it.

For Largemouth, anywhere from November to April. A lot will depend on what cold fronts roll through. I had fish on my lake starting to bed before Thanksgiving Day last year. Peacocks spawn a couple of times a year down here. All of the Largemouth have done their thing on my lake, yet there are still Peacocks that are sitting on beds without eggs or fry. It's an interesting time of the year down here.

One that handles the area/cover that I'm fishing as well as the technique. There will never be a single "best." Each person is specific in their likes or dislikes.

Oddly enough I was thinking about this thread earlier today when I took my daughters to the Dentist. I got the bill and almost pooped on myself. It's probably for the best with whats happening down there right now. Safety is always high on my list when travelling in a foreign country. Hopefully all of the crap down there gets handled somehow and we're all able to re-schedule for another time, although I honestly don't see it happening anytime in the near future. Definitely a bummer. I may end up just making a trip up to Okeechobee for a few days and staying up there instead. That place has been on freakin fire lately.

Awesome video, Mike. There's nothing better than getting the kids out catching fish. I bought both of my daughters their first decent rod and reel not long ago at BPS. Like your son, they outgrew the old stuff. Those Princess rods just weren't doing the job for them.

KVD's Spray contains no oils at all. You can spray it right on your hands and you'll notice this. It's a product that I'd recommend to anybody. I'm fairly sure that most of the board members will recommend it also. If you decide to swap over, you definitely should toss whatever line you have on the spool now. It's not recommended to mix line conditioners.

WTG, Robert. Woulda been great if we could have all met up at the Lake this go around. One of these days we need to get a group of people up there and make a weekend of it. The lake has been cranking out fish so far this year. Sounds like you and your friend had an awesome day. How low is the water out there right now?

Line and Lure spray is the real deal. Theres no doubt in my mind that it works. You'll cast smoother, generally have less memory, etc etc. It's a good product.

This is only for the toilet paper rolls that sit horizontally on the hanger. Which way do you put the TP on the hanger? So it's falling down off the front or coming down off the back? My daughters can't stand it when I flip it around on them. I get some great laughs from doing it once in a while.
