Thanks Comcast!
Man, I usually can't say much good about Comcast and their TV service. For a change I'm actually not ticked at them. They recently added a whole slew of new channels, both SD and HD. I like a whole bunch of them that I've already had before. Now they've added channels that I did have before....I've got stuff to watch now. I used to have Outdoors and that was it. Now they're broadcasting the Sportsmans Channel and WFN HD down here. Fan-freakin-tastic.

P-Line Voltage
Well, I figured I might as well try one more line while I was doing some experimenting. Decided to try out P-Lines newest offering in Voltage. Grabbed two spools, one 12 pound and one 15 pound. I can honestly say I'm surprised at how well this line performs. It's a very sensitive co-poly line with fairly minimal stretch. I've yet to have a break off with it, and abrasion resistance isn't too bad either. The only downside I've seen is that it does have a little bit of memory to it. Nothing horrible, but it is a bit noticeable. This stuff is very easy to cast. As much as I love Yo-Zuri Hybrid, Voltage may have it beat for now. I'm not sure if the hybrid I have here at the house is worn out and abused (I did some silly stuff to that line), but I've certainly noticed a difference between the two. Hybrid casts and handles a little better while Voltage gets the nod in the sensitivity and stretch department. For those of you who like co-poly lines, it may be worthwhile for you to try some out. It's basically 8 bucks for a 300 yard spool. You're not spending a lot to give it a whirl. Check it out, you may find that you like it.

Plastics
I used to store all of mine in the original bags. I switched over to using Plano boxes a while back and have found no negative effect on any of my plastics. Some of them have been in there for quite a long time now. Much more organized that way for me.

Welcome To The New Bassresource.com!
Looks great, Glenn. Glad to see you guys got everything up and working. I had the same issues with my PW. No problem getting the email sent to me though. I couldn't log in under my screen name. I had a different user name for some reason.

$350.00 BUDGET WHAT ROD SETUP WOULD YOU SUGGEST??
Dobyns Champion 733 or 734 (all depends on the cover) - $240 Shimano Citica - $120 Yo-Zuri Hybrid 12-15 pound - $10 Out the door for 370 Pesos. It aint a 7 foot even, but you may find you like that extra three inches of length.

Strike King or Xcaliber square bill cranks ?
I use both of them. The finish on the Xcalibur cranks is far superior. The SK cranks tend to scratch very easily. They're both good lures though. I believe the SK squarebills run a bit deeper. I toss both of them on a fairly regular basis.

Practical joke that I almost feel bad about.

see the new bigfoot video?
Why do you think Bigfoot is so scary. It's not the camera. Bigfoot just happens to be a large, hairy, out of focus monster...

Now that Tru-Tungsten is out of business
Strike King tungsten with the regular old sinker stops for now. I got several packs on the cheap and have been completely satisfied with them. I love the shape that they come in also.

Anyone fishing lake O this weekend?
Sure wish I was fishing. Naturally fishing has been reportedly great all over the place. I've been going non-stop at work for the last month and a half. Hope you make it out there and stick some giants.

alberto knot
Loop the leader and wrap it with the braid. Once you complete the wraps, pull all four lines until the knot stops sliding up. At that point finish seating the knot by pulling on the mainline. Then pull tight. The Alberto Knot (Modified Albright)

Just ordered a Dobyns Savvy
Aint that the truth. You'll love them. There isn't much more to say. Great rods.

Best pegging method for plastics?
peg-its bobber/sinker stops Both of them work great. It's a take your pick kind of a deal. The peg-its will hold the sinker a bit tighter if you really pull them through the sinker.

This is music?!?!
This song is quite possibly the worst song I've ever heard. I can generally get through a song if the lyrics are halfway decent, but that was just horrible. Friggin autotune. I blame T-Pain for ruining music.

Hawk and I are off to a good start.
WTG, Doug. Note to self, don't boat flip dinks in tournaments.

Reel settings for pitching with a baitcaster
I generally keep my spools all very loose no mater what. Just tight enough to stop the spool from wobbling side to side when you loosen the cast control a bit too much. As far as the brakes go, I usually set between two to four pins. Like everybody else mentioned, you need to learn how to thumb the spool to get a good pitch.

Top water setup
I've been using a Dobyns 733 for most of my topwater hardbait work. Great rod. The length does make working a walking style bait a little different. It's not a major concern though. You just learn how to handle the extra length. I may pick up a shorter 3 power rod from Dobyns to dedicate to my spooks and whatnot. Been using anywhere from 8 to 12 pound Yo-Zuri Hybrid on that setup. Works like a charm.

holiday park 3-18
Good stuff, Bruce. You've been finding some good fish lately. Good luck on Sunday. Kevin, those face protectors are called Buffs. Both BPS stores have htem. They're around 20-25 bucks in the store. I'm pretty sure you can find them online cheaper. Well worth the money down here. Helps with the sun, and keeps you noticeably cooler while you're wearing it. I absolutely love mine. Never go on the water without it.

I blame you guys for this.....
