Exactly what I do. Works great. Just be careful as you get to the bottom of the spool. If you tied it on really well, you can jerk your reel around pretty badly.

not only does it count, but i am hoping that side imaging gives me a leg up on the competition this year for the King of the Glades series. it is mainly canal fishing in the glades, but i am certain there are rocks, humps, cars and anything else that will hold fish that will show up on the screen. Make sure you post some screen shots. I'm really curious to see what all is out there in some of those canals.

About time. At least it only took the guys a couple of days to do it. The backyard patio is about twice as big as it was before. In between them, a new sprinkler system going in, and the entire house getting pressure washed this was an eventful week at the house. Now I just need to replace all of my old patio stuff with nice new furniture. And a whole bunch of pea gravel to fill in some of the areas without pavers. Next project will probably be a Pergola over the patio. Backyard: Side yard:

My fridge is surprisingly empty right now. Although that'll change when I go shopping later and fill it with Thanksgiving goodies. Edited to add: Wow, the picture quality there is horrible. What the hell's up with my camera...

Well, I was being a bit facetious. In most of the shallower areas I've been in, I've mostly seen sand. It is actually kind of surprising.

Most (not all) of the residential lakes have Peacocks in them. Several of the ones around me are called Boaters Parks. One of them has a paved ramp, others are just bank access for small boats. The problem with a bunch of the lakes is parking. If you can find a spot to stick the car, it's game on.

I've broken quite a few Leathermen tools. Haven't broken a Gerber unless I've done something excessively stupid with it. Plus I like the way they open more.

You know, that aint a bad show at all. I started watching about halfway through the first episode and have been watching since. I was suprised by the quality of the writing and acting. The horror effects are well done also. I heard it got picked up for next season. Yeah it did. This was a short trial run kind of thing. I think they only did four episodes this year. It's getting a 12 show run next time around I believe. The acting could be a little better, but I won't complain about that. It's TV, not a big Hollywood production. The makeup and all has been great. Theres a behind the scenes type deal somewhere on On Demand that shows some of the make up artists at work. Cool stuff.

I take my Gerber almost everywhere. I've got a few around the house that I've had since I was on active duty. Still going strong.

I'm not sure I'd want to see the bottom of Okeechobee anyway. Lord only knows how much junk (or how many bodies) are stuck in the muck on the bottom of the lake.

I really wanted to watch it. Got wrapped up watching The Walking Dead instead.
