Unless you're with a large group, no. Buy the drinks individually. I don't think I've ever been in a club that doesn't let you buy a bottle. It's just good business. They sell you a 35 dollar bottle of Grey Goose for a couple hundred bucks. It's almost free money for them. If you plan on buying a bottle, you're looking at upwards of 300 bucks per in some places. The clubs in Vegas aren't all that great anyway. Vegas can be a lot of fun. If you want to gamble, go at it. For the love of all things holy, be smart though. Limit yourself to X amount of dollars for the trip. No matter how hard you try, the odds of you winning whatever you lost back are slim. Like Glenn mentioned, theres tons of entertainment options. Some free, some....pricey. Just pick what you want to do and can afford to do and go for it. Last time I was there I did a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon that was pretty sweet. Ended up having a picnic lunch down on the bottom of the Canyon where the chopper landed.

Crawfish change color a lot. The color can vary from region to region. You'll find out what color they are by either finding some locals here on BR, or asking around your area.

Happens with all braid. It will lessen as you use it more, but it will always make some noise. It's just the nature of braid. Stuff is rough, thats why it can saw through grass, and your fingers if you're not careful.

Adding the plywood is the way to go. Just make sure you buy untreated wood and coat the snot out of it with water sealer. If you've got the cash, starboard is ideal. It will never rot, get misshapen, etc etc. That stuff can be expensive though.

All depends on how thick the mats are that you're talking about. You can use a MH flippin stick in most mats, but in some very thick stuff, you may want to step up to something in the H range.

I agree completely. The main reason why they spray is probably to keep it from taking over a waterway. There should be a happy medium though. They may never kill it off completely, but the last few years they've done a really good job of trying. At least now it looks like they're finally letting it grow some.

Spray 77 is some awesome stuff. I use it all the time in my shop. My only complaint is that sometimes the surfaces that I've glued will lift a bit if it gets too hot for too long. I've got no clue how durable it would be in a marine environment though. I hope that the company you talked to knows what they're talking about. Keep your eye on it for a while to make sure it doesn't lift in the heat.

I've used a 765 flip on a few occasions. I'll definitely be adding one to my arsenal one day. That is a great rod. Very nicely balanced. I've had no problem using it moderately heavy cover. You can probably use that thing all day and not be all that tired. It felt a little underpowered for "really" thick stuff. A 766 or 805 may be the better choice depending all on where you're going to use it.

I don't mind foam at all. Good quality, high density foam is actually very nice. It's the cheap grade low density foam that is just horrible.

exactly! i only fish 12 inch worms and i use a gama 5/0. i also use a shimano curado with a gear ratio of 3.8:1. that reel makes me fish the worm super slow and i also use a 5/8 ounce tungsten. gambler has a new worm out that looks exactly like the delong. look out when the ledge bit is on. Ooh, I need to find some of those. Hopefully they're a little cheaper than the Delongs. Those get pricey.

When I bought mine they were $3.50 a pack. The ad on the website says "Starting at $3.50 a pack." It's a little misleading. The drop down menu on the order page has 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, and 3/8 at $3.50. The 3/4 and 1 ounce are higher priced, which is understandable.

I'd love to see some mats pop up, but I know thats not realistic. Right now there are four or five spots with some very nice vegetation growth. One area actually has the hydrilla topped out a bit, nothing ridiculous though. I understand the culverts need to be open for water flow. I'm fine with that. Part of keeping the lake looking nice is to have the grass which filters the water while at the same time allowing the water to continue moving. The benefits to somebody like me are obvious. Grass means forage which means bass. I just don't understand how people can't figure out this concept.

Actually they were out spraying yesterday. The guy really only hit the shoreline. The only spots he concentrated on were the culverts just to keep the water flow open. So who knows, we'll see what happens. I just wish those idiots in the HOA knew that grass helped keep the lake healthy.

Finally, my lake actually has real deal Hydrilla growing! The spray company isn't so aggressive with the spraying now. They only spray the shoreline now instead of covering entire areas of the lake. So I'm really hopefully that the grass away from the banks will survive. I've been regularly catching five fish an hour lately. It's been several years since theres been actual grass in the lake. Usually it's just milfoil and some scattered hygrophila, and chara. One area has a nice mix of eelgrass, hydrilla, and a few pads mixed in. Man, I'm really hoping that this stuff gets left alone. Fishing hasn't been this much fun for a while. The fish are looking much healthier than the fish I was catching earlier in the year. No skinny or stunted looking fish. Good times.
