  1. Looks like a great trip. Gotta love catching those Peacocks. That jack must have been a hell of a fight on bass tackle. Bet that was a blast. The fish in the last picture has some great color. Gorgeous Peacock.
  2. Some jig heads aren't painted or baked as well as other. The heads are made from lead. It's not the paint itself that is chipping, it's the lead getting beat up enough to cause some flex which leads to the paint flaking off. You can brush some clear epoxy onto the head and it will help some. The better way would be to take the skirt off, dip it in some powder paint, bake it, and then coat it with a good strong clear coat of some kind. Personally, I don't really worry about it. I don't think I've ever had a fish look at a jig head and say, that thing is chipped up, I don't want to eat it.
  3. Ouch man. You didn't get it all that long ago. Hope everything is going ok for you.
  4. Way to go Bassn. Theres nothing better than taking a kid fishing.
  5. That was pretty d**n cool to watch. Great fish!
  6. Nice fish right there. Mike and I were out there yesterday and landed a toad. The bigger fish are showing up.
  7. You know, when I saw the score earlier I said to myself, how long will it take for FBL to post something about it. Two in a row for the Raiders. Two in a row for Miami also....WE R FIELD GOAL KINGS! ......
  8. Congratulations!
  9. Can't complain one bit. The weather was great, caught a few fish, did some BS'n, makes for a good afternoon. Lipping that big fish was just icing on the cake. Gotta love having that place so close to home for both of us. Thanks again. Looking forward to next time.
  10. Headed out to Lox with Mike earlier today for a couple of hours at the end of the day. Not much in the way of numbers, although we did find some fish towards the end of the day. Almost every fish came on a Dipper. A few came up on Beavers also. Big fish of the day (unsure on weight):
  11. PQ, never used the C3. I use mine on a regular basis and have never had a complaint. They aren't the lightest reels on the market, but they certainly aren't the heaviest. Just a little regular maintenance here and there and no issues. If Eagle Claw makes a reel as bad as their hooks are, I'd spend my money elsewhere.
  12. I'll be here all week. Try the veal.
  13. Name dropper. Tom Brady was also my next door neighbor. I taught him everything he knows about throwing a football. I R AWESOME!
  14. Seriously? That's crazy. Was it on a team or at a gym or what? Guys in the neighborhood. Played in high school with them also.
  15. And now I'm sitting here watchin my boy Steve Blake playing for the Lakers now. Crazy to realize I played ball with him and Udonis Haslem on a daily basis down here in Miami. Cool stuff.
  16. Fort Hood has a rather large amount of....well, large Korean women who got picked up when guys did the year tour in Korea. I do mean a large amount. It's almost scary.
  17. Unfortunately the one behind the glass... At least, thats been the case at every duty station I was at.
  18. There would have been a random Fireline photo if that were true.
  19. I hope you guys are watching Miami taking apart what is supposedly a fantastic Orlando team.
  20. I remember seeing that picture a while back. It was true then, it's true now. If you ever want to see proof of this, drive outside any military base and check out the wives. You may be surprised...
  21. I know the feeling. The Miami BPS is roughly 10 minutes away from me. The Dania store is only about 20. Throw in the Dicks now thats only about five minutes away and I've got problems. God help me if a Gander or Cabelas ever opens up down here.
  22. Alberto knot 100% of the time for mainline to leader.
  23. Sue a kid, the new American way. I agree with you 100% Francho. Couldn't have said it any better.
  24. I'm not sure how to respond to this. The parents should probably be held responsible for any associated medical costs. But suing the child? That seems a little silly.
  25. The rod selection was a bit disappointing. I can live with that though. They do carry a decent selection of reels. I found some soft plastic colors there that I haven't seen before. Thats always fun to experiment with different junk. Like you said, being able to buy RI stuff locally is great. I wish they had the smaller size beaver though. The one thing I didn't check was to see if they carried tungsten weights. I need to stop by there one day and check it out. I need to restock some of mine.
