If your going to throw a top water like a jitterbug , keep a steady retrieve back to the boat so the bass can target it in the dark. The same thing with a spinner bait. That's my two cents worth.

An x-tra fast rod would qualify for all your techniques with the possibe exception of throwing cranks and your rod length would be a little long for skipping baits under docks. Just my opinion. The rod I would get that would suit your techniques would be a St. Croix Avid 6'3' x-tra fast. Like I said earlier this is just my opinion.

A decent rod for that reel would be a Berkley Lightning Rod for 35.00. That's the same out fit I started out with.
