  1. Congrats. Daiwa rules
  2. Don't give up on jigs. Some are very weedless. Like catt, I'm for t-rigged worms.
  3. I'll let the cat out of the bag........with high end equiptment you will catch a fish on every cast. That's right every cast. It's part of a secret concession made by the high end gear cartel to get us to buy their gear. It's been going on for years......we've just haven't told you.
  4. I must be getting lucky....I even went and looked at them. No braid damage.
  5. Dynamite Dude I am going to have "they are taunting me" in my head for awhile. LOL I won't give you any advise other then hang out here and you will whacking them in no time. Welcome to the forum
  6. IMO... I never worry about cold snaps.....I really only focus on the seasonal change. To me, fall starts in August. Might seem early for Georgia. :)But at that time I am already seeing fish starting to relate to the season. Usually I will start seeing them relating to main lake points. Kind of like they are all starting to hang out here versus their summer retreats. I'll start seeing alot more cruisers. If you pay attention to the water temps a lot of times you can feel it about to happen as the temps start to drop. Once they do it's on.
  7. I get them on my flippin' sticks. Probably doesn't make a big difference but since I am not casting I went with those. I don't know who all makes them but the ones on my GLX are definately braid safe.
  8. There is another thought that I don't think has been mentioned. All of my gear is high end. Some of it is old. All of it still works as good today as when I bought it.
  9. Welcome to the boards You will not have any problems finding something for $500.
  10. "Yea....but look at it. Hmmm.......it looks like a power ranger" (Monkey talk)
  11. I have more reels than rods also. Most of the time I have one or two at work.......It's therapeutic reeling a reel while somebody at work is talking to you. I say strap it on the closest rod and go throw it.
  12. Welcome
  13. Anything you don't want to sink or places where you want some give. I use it to crank and on my swimbaits.
  14. I have a lowrance iFinder C. I like that it's the same as my boat electronics. Plus, if I am on a buddys boat I can save new waypoints as we find them and have all my other points with me.
  15. Welcome
  16. That was exactly what I was thinking. Retying needs to become a habit....do it without thinking. I once lost a 7lbr at the boat in a tourn.........it scarred me.
  17. Congratulations Now go whack em'
