  1. That looks sharp man. I like the handle set up too.
  2. Congratulations! Did you get hit with a duty fee?

I've got about 6 of them, just waiting for summer to get here. They are beautiful baits.
  4. Pay attention to how fast the bait is being retrieved. That has everything to do with the action. I think a lot of people fish shallow crankbaits too slowly. I'm sure line size plays a role also.
  5. Gunfish Yellow Magic Jackall Frog
  6. I prefer cork but it isn't a deal breaker either way.

I've got some on order but they haven't arrived yet. It's a great looking bait though..
  8. Keep your brakes turned up high until you get the hang of it. You won't get much distance at first but you can back it off as you go.
  9. I would contact the guys at Hawgtech.
  10. You could probably get in touch with Shimano and have them send you a guide, just get someone local to install it.
  11. Lucky Craft LVR D7 in Mad Craw.
  12. Yeah it was about 3 weeks. I ended up calling customs to make sure everything was ok. lol It finally did make it though and the duty fee was $26.
  13. I feel you on that. My Conquest was held in customs for about 3 agonizing weeks. It finally made it home though.
  14. You could always go custom and get a blank cut down a little.
  15. I'm not sold on the Baitball thing either but I do believe Live Target makes really good baits. I don't think you can go wrong based on that alone.
  16. I was being tongue in cheek. My point was that all the reels you mentioned were modern reels, whether or not they are currently being produced isn't relevant to this ridiculous conversation.
  17. Says the guy buying brand new gear from Japan and upgrading all his old reels with brand new components. Give me a freaking break. Nobody said the old gear wasn't good. All of us older than about 20 have fond memories of the gear we grew up using and still use today. But to say that the old stuff is better than the new stuff and the new stuff is "garbage" is plain silly. Gotta have something to complain about though, right?
  18. Those are really pretty! I'm curious to see what you come up with. It says on the site that they don't sell to the public so you might have to find someone to buy for you.
  19. Nice try but I believe Zillions, Curados and Calais' ARE today's reels. lol He thinks you're a Shimano Fanboy too.
  20. Many inshore rods have a more moderate action. That's probably about the only difference.

I've got a whole box full of XCS's and another box full of XR50's and XRK50's. I'll sell every single one of them if I can get $10-$15 a piece. They are great baits but c'mon.
  22. Get a grip dude. It's just like anything else. You can buy the most expensive stuff on the market or not, it's totally up to you. There are plenty of great baits under $5 for people just like you, who don't want to spend a ton of money to enjoy fishing.
