  1. I love that picture.
  2. Don't forget you can get a 2015 Alphas to your door for $200. It would make sense for them to bring that reel over here too.
  3. I agree with you. The SS SV would fill a gap in the Daiwa US line up and give people a non TWS mid tier option.

Do you have a rod to throw a bait that heavy?
  5. I've sold off all my non Daiwa/Shimano reels and now stick with the big 2. Both companies make great products and I love having both in my arsenal but I'm a Daiwa fan at heart.
  6. I thought originally they were to bring over 2 lines of rods. I don't remember the name of the other line but it wasn't the Volkey or Corzza or any other name I recognized.
  7. They make $300,000 for winning the Classic, $100,000 for a regular season event. You are correct though, they couldn't make a living fishing without their sponsors. There are only 8 regular season Elite events and 6 FLW events. The sponsors make everything possible.
  8. I know exactly who you're talking about. He's one of the really good dudes on tour, that's an awesome accomplishment/memory.
  9. $3 a piece for Zell Pops is a great deal.
  10. I agree with you. I actually picked Bobby Lane in this event, he did terribly. Chris has been on quite the roll the last few years. He's won on very diverse fisheries too, from Florida to the Great Lakes.
  11. Congratulations Chris Lane!

I was doing pretty well until Kernan's first day was DQ'd and he dropped about 60 places. I picked Faircloth, Bobby Lane, Kernan, Tietje and Frazier.
  13. I have carried Hydra-Shoks (with an a) off and on for years. It's a good self defense round.
  14. I wear Mangrove sun gloves, an Outdoor Research Helios hat and a Buff. The gloves have a leathery material on the palms, they are comfortable, inexpensive and have lasted over a full season.
  15. That's a lovely collection of baits, very nice.
  16. I assume it would. I have both reels, when I get a chance I will see if they swap, it probably won't be until tomorrow though.
  17. I haven't had a chance to use mine yet either.
  18. Today was tougher than yesterday. The cut line dropped about 2 lbs. Hopefully they will get full days for the rest of the way. Cutting out half the field should help the remaining 53 also.
  19. Any time I've had a shipment get stuck in customs I've ended up getting hit with a duty charge. I ordered a reel a month or so ago that was stuck in Chicago Customs for like 2 weeks.
  20. Got my SV today. No, it doesn't have line on it yet. I've got a Megabass Zonda Hedgehog Finesse Spool to compare to the SV spool. I just need to get a proper BFS rod.
  21. d**n, that was fast. Mine still says it's in a container. I ordered mine the day after you. $203 shipped from JLS.

I fished Sluggos before I even knew what a Fluke was. Fish them just like a weightless Fluke. Great baits.
  23. Hmmm...the glow in the dark color says 8 per pack while all the rest say 5. At 8 per pack it becomes more reasonable. Jarrett Edwards uses them on his show and they seem to work really well.
  24. At almost $1 a strip, they better work well.
  25. I've already ordered 2 reels off my list. I got a Conquest 200 a few weeks ago and have an Alphas SV on it's way from Japan, should be here next week.
