  1. Agree with the 2 posters above me. The older Zillion is the tank everyone speaks of. The new Zillion and Tatula haven't been around long enough to achieve that status.
  2. I rig them on a jighead or a weighted swimbait hook.
  3. Absolutely. I don't keep 5 extra spools of the same thing but I always have spare line in everything I use. I keep it in a cool dark closet and have never had trouble with it. Braid probably keeps a long time.
  4. I've always thrown weightless Zoom Super Flukes on casting gear with no problems. I use the same rod I use for Senkos, a 7'3" MHF with 12 lb fluoro. A Fluke loads and casts great with no special reel needed.
  5. Yep, I put split rings on mine too. I haven't had a chance to use them yet though.
  6. More action with the split ring. That's why he said not to use one in cold water, it would be less erratic.
  7. I read a pro staffer on another forum say to add a split ring in warm water and leave it off in cold water. He said all S Cranks in the future will have split rings on them from the factory. Not sure why the first batch didn't.
  8. You need to make sure and rub it in to the guys who gave you a hard time about spending so much on rods and reels.
  9. I have the 7' MH and H in the Legend Elite line. If the powers run the same between the 2 lines, the MH is what you want. The H is a very stout rod.
  10. Seaguar Tatsu is my favorite, Sunline Sniper is my everyday line though, due to price.
  11. That's where things get even more confusing. Excalibur is a different company than XCalibur but they are both under the Pradco umbrella. I believe Excalibur makes the Spitting Image. XCalibur makes higher end baits with better components that cost a little more.
  12. There are haters everywhere, even here. Fish with the stuff you enjoy and worked hard to get. The majority of us are just like you, we like fishing with nice stuff. Anyone who says anything about what you buy needs to mind their own business.
  13. Are you sure about that? I thought Pradco always owned XCalibur. They've always had Pradco pros endorsing their baits. The XCS cranks had Alton Jones, Edwin Evers and Tim Horton's signatures on them. The EE jerkbait was obviously Edwin Evers. There used to be the Jimmy Houston Jimmy walking bait. Now that Evers and Horton aren't with Pradco I'm sure they have to make some changes. XCalibur is on Pradco's website, I'm almost positive they've always owned them. I don't believe for a second they are killing off their most popular baits either but I don't know that rebranding is it.
  14. CX is my go to copoly, I use it as a mainline only. I've tried all of them and always come back to CX. I use fluoro on most of my set ups now but CX is a great line.
  15. That I Jack looks nice!
  16. What swimbaits do you already have?
  17. I go to a soft jerkbait in the summer.
  18. I throw mine on various jig rods, depending on the weight.
  19. I bought one and used it on one trip. I bought another one that night when I got home. I love both of mine and haven't had any trouble with either of them.
  20. I use the Roboworm Rebarb hooks and the Trokar Finesse hooks with the keeper. I normally use the 1/0 and 2/0 medium wire.
  21. Jrob78 replied to Tim Kelly's topic in Fishing Tackle
They make nice stuff. I've got a couple of their long sleeve "raglan" shirts. Good summer fishing shirts.
  22. I normally throw 12-17 fluoro, depending on the situation.
