I'm having some issues as of late with two of my reels. Same problem, different reels, and I dont know if it's user error or not. After I cast, ON OCCASION, I will crank the handle and nothing will happen, at all, the line eye of the reel with move, but the spool will not. Does anyone know why, or more importanly, does anyone know how to correct this issue?

I'm glad they are a a hit. I just started to tie my own, and have looked at jensen for inspiration. I will be throwing hair jigs exclusively this weekend when I make my first smallie trip.

See how long the post has been there on CL. You should be able to talk him down at least $100, if not walk. Literally, walk. If he wants to sell it, he will sell it for $200. I wouldnt spend anymore than $200 for that.

Amen to the backing. I was never a believer until I learned the proper knot to tie line-to-line.

Roger I would like to use this knot based on its approval rating, but I just don't seem to have the dexterity to do it. :-[ Maybe I can just get my wife to learn it and tie it for me. I'm just not sure my fragile ego will allow that though... : Haha. I've had my wife learn the alberto knot. I had to practive with shoelaces before morving to the tinsel.

That should be all you need. I have had no bad experiences with Quantum reels, and am getting a new one in next week. woop woop.
