  1. I have a friend who owns a rod manufactering company in Korea. They spin their own blanks and such he said that no matter how expensive the rod is the blank it's self when it's first made costs no more than 15$ for even the extremely top end rods like the 1,000 evergreen the rest of the cost is componets and then from there they like to make at least 100% profit but try fo 200% if they can
  2. listen the reason why cumulus got lower rating than vendetta because of the price fool i would prefer to pay for lighter rod and good senstivity than tip heavy cheap rod slow your roll there cowboy, BigRickRolled was being sarcastic. whats up with all the new young pups bashin on the vets here lately? sheesh
  3. 6'10" MH falcon Bucoo 110 shipped to your door http://www.***.com/Falcon_BuCoo_Casting_Rods/descpage-FBCC.html
  4. oh last thing J Francho is one of the guys who knows what he's talking about....(Wasn't sure if that was clear or not) Good Night from Korea I'm off to watch some BASS Insider tv and hit the hay.
  5. I dont know what im talking about when it comes to braided line thats why I started this whole thing. Congrats you have been promoted from Mr. Obvious to Captain Obvious. ;D I don't understand you're 29, how is me being 26 any different :-? Captain Obvious is not online right now I don't think. lol the reason i mention the age is if you had been a member of this board for a while you would know who KNOWS what there talking about and who to right off.... There are some cranky old men on here who like to gruff and grip and some young pups who like to shoot from the hip with out any bullets in their gun as I reach my 30's I find my self stuck in both worlds and being irritated with both worlds. the fact I'm 29 was my point in saying I'm getting old... once you get a bit older you'll learn to listen and then pounce and then we hit 60 and just don't give a hoot. I find old people and young people have a lot more in common the they like to admit. Welcome to BR
  6. I'd like to take some of those activists fishing and see if that drowning thing works or not......I kid I kid (no really i'm serious )
  7. Your 26 and don't know what your talking about...(big surprise) J Francho was trying to edgimacate ya. not argue with ya... man I'm getting old
  8. for your jig box try spraying an oil based sent in the box before you pack it away. keeps the skirts and hooks from going bad and then they smell all yummy for the next time
  9. does not mean if they wanted to try one day that they could get by with 3 clubs or 3 rods now does it. My point, which is true no matter how you look at it, is if you want to be as successful as you can be at all techniques or a day on the lake facing many situations there is no reason not to. If you don't give a hoot and just wanna kick a few back on a Sunday then why ask? The original poster obviously wanted to know if it was needed. The answer is yes if you want to fish everything from 1/8oz shaky heads to 5oz swim baits and do it well.
  10. Let me ask you a few simple questions. once you have thought about my questions you will have the answer to yours. Could you play an entire round of golf with nothing but a putter? If you did would you score well? If you knew you could score better using a full set of clubs even though you may not use them all on a certain day or hole would you buy them? There is your answer. No but I can play an entire round of golf quite well with a one wood, one iron, & a putter! There's you answer have fun at the driving range
  11. How do you figure? try using a 5'6"ul rod for punching mats with 11/4oz weights and tell me you will do just fine. there are many more techniques for fishing than just worms and spinner baits, friend. You've got to remember, he said for the fishing he does. He may not need a rod that can hurl huge weights out to matted vegetation. He was just stating what he used for the fishing he does. we are talking about bass fishing in general and what is needed or not needed. you can't say I just fish worms and wire baits and need one pole....... welll duh If you just go to the driving range on the weekend to have a little fun then yeah just take a driver an iron and a wedge and you'll be fine and have a blast If you competing in the US Open you better have the right clubs/with the right loft and the right length and flex of shafts to match your club head speed, and the right offset to match your trajectory or you might as well not tee off at all. This isn't Happy Gilmore this is the real world

  14. I don't know if I really have "Brand Loyalty" I have a mixed bag of tricks, but I do have things I like... I love the 2 Bucoo's I have for the money and have recently acquired 3 Dobyns Champion sticks and like them alot so far... I use Shimano Reels for the simple reason that they are the best and most comfortable reel for my style of palming the reel. BPS reels are also comfortable for me but not as good as the curados and citcas I own. I'm not a rich guy so I don't have the funds to buy the best of the best but love tackle and will buy something that looks interesting just to try it out. If I find a real expensive peice of equipment for a real good price I'll buy it too like I did with the bradia.
  15. Only thing that sucks for me is that little piece of paper called a receipt. I try my best to keep track of those little things but find my self loosing track of them after years. Those new thermal printers suck too after 6 months they are soled black. cant make out what is what. I know you need a receipt for the limited warranty do you need one for the No Hassle exchange? If you do then to me it's still a bit of a hassle.
  16. It's a good upgrade for sure you will be very happy with it
  17. I had one of those TG IM8 in less than a year the nut on the reel seat cracked straight through and it was unusable... now I use it as a pointer while teaching.
  18. I use a 4/0 straight shank flippin hook

  21. 22. 7' med UglyStick Lite Pro Graphite can not be beat for less than 100 bucks in a moving bait rod... if they would have put a good ecs reel seat on that blank I would easily pay 100 bucks for it... thats they only thing I don't like about that rod. but cant be beat 36$ it's only at walmart
  23. why? You should buy the Falcon Bucoo's and Lowriders. Nothing else in the 100-150 rang can touch them. Go to TW and look at all the + feedback on the Bucoo rods and then see if you can find a rod with more + feed back on the whole site. You won't. Falcon Bucoo is the best Rod under 150 bar none. Hear is what you buy BuCoo Spin Rod 7' Medium Light $109 BuCoo Cast Rod 7' Medium $109 BuCoo Cast Rod 7' Medium Heavy $109 BuCoo Cast Rod 6'10" Med Hvy $109 BuCoo Cast Rod 7' Heavy $109 Falcon LowRider XG Cast 7'6" Hvy Md Actio $149 Every thing but swim baits covered here... 6 rods for 7 bills and you will love them all The only Falcon rod I would not buy is the Cara. why you ask? if i'm dropin more than 150$ on a rod it's going to be a Dobyns
