your statement does not pan out scientifically. if the weight and radius of the bend of the snap is even close to the same as the split ring there would be no difference from an engineering stand point. in fact there would be one if you didn't.

although it's a fun idea your method is not scientific so therefor you can not prove which bait is better. there are to many variables that could change from day to day that change the way fish bite. in order for it to be a fair test you would have to fish at the same time, same spot, same temp water, same water depth, same presentation and so on and so-forth but it sounds like a fun couple of days

so if you use a crosslock snap on a bait that has a split ring do you need to remove the split ring? if you didn't i think the angle would be off. baits like the wiggle wart come with a snap, others come with a split ring. i would think that to use a snap on a bait that came with a split ring you would want to remove the split ring first...True or not true?

If as an amateur you bought and fished brand A rods and reels and brand B wanted to sponsor you would you make the switch? for example If you were a Pure Fishing reel and or rod guy would you switch to Shimano or Diawa rods and reels if the wanted to sponsor you-or vice-versa?

It's not that I wanted to put this handle on this reel.... It's that when I found a CF handle with 4 barings for less than 60$ I had to buy the handle.. and This was the only reel I could put it on.
