  1. dang you and that BM you sent to my house via this site i just bought one. 139. cant beat that for a 350$ real
  2. the 7'M is the crankin rod for the bucoo series, I belive it's a moderate action. I was never impressed by the mojos, I thought about getting one but never did, they just didn't feel right in store. There are plenty of other options though, personally I'd stick with the Crankin Sticks. X2 the 7'mh bucoo is great for cranks too...buy the bucoo
  3. Any one used this stuff yet?... just got a 300m spool for 30 bucks if no one has any comments I'll due a review when I've had a chance to use it.
  4. I was really wanting the 6 powered rod because my current rod i use is 5 power & also rated at 1 1/2oz and when i use a 1 1/4oz punch weight and a sweet beaver and punch skirt it just loads to much, so the 2oz rating i thought would be more reassuring when working really heavy cover. All though the rod I currently use is not near as high quality as the Dobyns line. Maybe I should hold out and ask Gary him self. He is supposed to be in Korea this week working on something new and the owner of the OEM said he'd call me when Gary got here. Don't know if he will but i guess there would be no better person to ask.
  5. I'm going to buy 2 of these 3 rods and was looking for a little advice. I need a rod for Heavy cover pitching and flipping, and one for Frogs. For mobility reasons I need a rod under 7'6" (all my rods are 7') I would really like a 706 but there is not one.. so for punching and frogging whitch rod do you think would be best the 735 or 736? Most likely I will buy the 705 and then eather the 736 or 735 or I might make the jump and get the 735 and the 736. I don't know help me!!!
  6. x2 I like to hold a rod in each hand. rub the tips on the smoothest surface i can find and see which one gives me the best feedback. there is no better test besides spooling up and dragging a lite weight across the floor. The rod that talks to me the most is the rod I buy
  7. So I fished this tournament this weekend there were 500 People! It was crazy hard to get any sort of position or work a piece of cover. We were all shoulder to shoulder and forced to cast straight out in front the weather was cold and over cast and windy. There was no point in planning strategy or working a pattern. it was just cast and pray don't know if I'll do another tourney of this sort for awhile. But i didn't get a chance to meet the Owner of the company and am going to meet him this week and He is going to show me around the factory. I 'd love to land a job with these guys they make great Rods.

  9. they are not an authorized dealer as far as i know.. couldn't find them on shimanos web site. there for i couldn,t price match at TW
  10. Has anyone ever bought anything from them? they are selling baitcasters and rods about 30 bucks lower than TW or other retailers http://www.aquasuperstore.com/products/Daiwa-Advantage-Super-Tuned-6.3-10BB-Baitcasting-Reel~62737.html
  11. I have a few... from what i hear there not made by them ... they just repakage other companys baits due to the huge drop in price... like if you look at the O_bait creature para bug. it's identical in color size and shape to the outkast naughty bug http://www.***.com/Outkast_4_Naughty_Bug_8pk/descpage-ONTYB.html#pImage http://www.overstockbait.com/PhotoDetails.asp?ShowDesc=N&PhotoURL=/v/vspfiles/photos/options/DJP-PB-877.jpg
  12. Thanks guys. I feel lost with out my boat so i'll try my best... didn't really consider top water this time of year but i'll take a few with just in case
  13. Did i post this in the wrong section or is my strategy so dead on that no one seems to be able to help? I doubt ethier
  14. i have heard of them yes but fished them no...give us a review
  15. Congrats man... my avitar fish which is mypersonal best was a jig fish. 6lbs 9oz on a xtools scale... I didn't like jigs at first but after I caught my first fish on one it's hard to put down... it's like you don't catch anything at first then once catch one the flood gates open and it becomes your goto bait
  16. The fish in my avitar was the same length it was caught in july post spawn and weighed 6lbs 9oz on an xtools dig scale. in the STL MO area. I would say that yours is pre spawn and probably weighed in at more than this. hope that helps... so I would call it at least 6 and a half. caught a 21 inchish fish that was weighed in at a tourny 3 weeks later at 6lbs .02oz My guess would be 7.1 pounds
  17. I am fishing a Tournament this Sunday that is from the bank. I fished the same lake end of last month. and only caught one fish. The fish are heavily pressured. I t's a small 200 acre-ish low land reservoir with stained to murky water. Structure/cover types are Docks, brush trees, rocks, riprap, points, mud flats, gravel banks. the forecast for Sunday is as follows: low of 46, high of 57, with a chance of rain. winds out of ESE at 15mph. today was the start of a cold front. temp dropped about 7 deg from yesterday but it will be on the rise with steady temps at least a day and a half before Sunday. The water temp should be in the 50's to 60's with the fish in a pre to early spawn pattern. My plan is to start the day with a drop shot, finesse jig, jerk baits, and shallow and mid cranks. then if and after I catch a limit to up it up to creatures, big worms, swim baits, and large spinner baits to try and upgrade. Any and all advice & tips would be appreciated. Bank fishing tricks, lure choices and so forth. Thanks in advance... I will check often back here until Sunday to answer or ask questions.
  18. Me I have really started to fall in love with my 7' MH Bucoo. It has real limber tip of a med rod but the backbone of a MH in the lower end... it's rated 1/4-3/4 and is awesome at shallow, med cranks and rip baits along with lipless cranks 1/2 oz or less... when you get up towards the 3/4 mark it starts to load real hard and it scares me, (like I might bust a tip) but I love the weight, balance & sensitivity of this rod. I bought the rod for plastics which it does well at but where it has really started to shine is in 1/4-1/2 oz moving baits.
  19. I hear ya on the cost. but if it works well that's no prob. Leaders get to be annoying for me all that tying knots and stuff... I don't personally like them... It's also a confidence thing for me... the whole weakest link in the chain thing. I'm sure they are fine but for me I like to not use them if i can get away with it.
  20. Has anyone tried it yet? I know it's super new but was thinking it would be good for crank baits... little streatch but really small dia. I love the regular performance braid just braids so dang expensive to buy and then toss http://www.***.com/descpage-SPSB.html
  21. Does anyone now what the main differance between these reels is besides the color? is the SXT worth the extra cost?
  22. I still remember when he was defending his Extremes against the Citcas now he has been converted... I went through the same thing though when I went Bass Crazy 3 years ago... BPS -> Citca -> Now I'm buying two Curados, two Team Daiwa Advantage-A and 1 more Citca... Then next year I'll probably make the dive to a Core. At times it seems like I wasted money on the cheaper but really it helped me have more rigs and learn different techniques better. They only reel I really regret buying was the 2008 Quantum PT TE. The only thing that makes me feel better is the fact the Citcas were not out yet so it doesn't seem like a total waist of 99$ Edit
  23. First off, they are just fish. Second, thats why all big lakes have lake managment teams. They with the help of anglers following the rules of each lake keep Bass populations on the rise. Third whats the point of having lots of bass in the lake if you can't catch them?
  24. Just go to www.***.com and look at there reel section and pic the one you want.... Thats probably the main reason I like shopping at TW they don't sell crap
