Clunn goes with.......Wright and McGill???
if you look at his history he has never used high priced or high end gear. He fishes with the same equipment that any working man can afford. Just like he uses aluminum boats as much as possible on the tour. Though I hope he gets them to make a slower gear ratio reel and change the colors.

Rick Clunn changes sponsors
He has joined Skeet Reese with W&M rods and reels.

the best hook companies ?
You forgot to add a category: Other I have started using H2O hooks, by academy sports. They are just as sharp as the others and just as strong.

Difference between florocarbon lines?
I am looking for a flourocarbon with less memory than Vicious. I don't like the big companies, ie: berkley, stren, bps.

Skeet's new reel
I like the fact that they will only cost $99-$119. He is starting to move to the weekend angler budget line and this will help his income and his image.

What was your personal best caught on?
10.3 caught in march of 1994 on lake Tyler, TX. Caught her on a 4 inch watermelon red Zoom Centipede on a 1/2 oz texas rig in the hydrilla.

Zoom Plastics
they don't change them because they would have to raise prices.

Fishing Big Worms
you might want to try fishing them deep, their size creates a lot of action deep. I use a 1/4oz slip sinker made of tungsten to feel them better. Fish feel them and go after them. Ledges, deep points, holes, ect. I do well with them in water deeper than 12ft. If you are fishing shallow I would use very light weight and only on lakes I know that there are big crawdads or shad.

Big Bite Baits- Cane Stick Worm
I use the watermelon pearl when bass are schooling and the watermelon blue swirl when pitching and carolina rig. I Love this soft plastic. I have caught more and better fish off this than any senko I have tried.

slug go help
I like to throw it on a jighead or shakeyhead while fish are schooling on top. The larger bass seem to be on bottom eating the dying shad that fall after the small ones hit them on top. The slug go has outfished the senko and fluke in this instance everytime.

Whats the most important thing to use while fishing?
A two way radio or cell phone in case s#$t hits the fan and you are stuck out on the lake or sinking. Second, a paddle. Never know when the batteries will die or motor just quits. PFD not in a storage box, but on the deck. Can't get into a storage deck if you are in the water allready. but you can grab something off the deck while holding the boat. personal experience on this one

how important is an expensive rod
I am looking at upgrading my rods, I am wondering what the true difference between a 160 dollar rod vs a 400 dollar rod. Why and what makes these differences and how important is this to a weekend fisherman.

Okuma
So I spent the week testing both reels. Conclusion: Abu: good- smooth reeling, great handles, color bad- not able to switch baits easily, have hard time changing breaks all the time Okuma: good- smooth casting, less need to adjust brakes when changing lures. bad- color, reel handles are small Winner: Okuma is the winner, but mainly because I switch baits on each reel all the time. Oh Yea and they responded to every email I sent and their customer service rocks. Even though they are out of Japan their American staff gave me cell phone numbers of people that had every answer I needed. Abu never responded to a single email or phone call
