  1. Anyone who has handled one of these fill me in on a review? Falcon Cara T 7 6'10" Cara Finesse Jig kistler magnesium TS senko-worm special med-hvy 7' Looking at getting one of these two, going to be used mainly for throwing 3/8oz jigs / weighted and unweighted plastics.
  2. Here I thought you had sent me some super secret prototype in my last order! ;D
  3. I like a 6.x.1 for soft plastic general purpose and a 7.x:1 for frogs / flipping
  4. I actually majored in economics and business finance. Working on my masters in economics now... never did any of that online stuff at UW but we did take printed quizes, at times the professor would have a question with no definitive answer (which is sometimes more common than not in economics) he would just give everyone credit for answering the question correctly. I'm sure your professor will do something similar.
  5. Should have sent her down to look for that rod while she was in there! ;D
  6. I agree, friend of mine does this and kills them with it... this and topwater rapalas and inline spinners are ALL he fishes. Something I always do is jig a spoon at dusk/dawn before I work my topwaters.
  7. The one in the picture was a GMAN 4/O EWG PBJ Jig with a netbait paca craw in PBJ on it.
  8. Your going to get a pretty even split between the guys who have 5+ set ups and the guys who fish with 1-4 set ups.
  9. Started out in a new area around here called "mud lake" part of the chain. Was throwing a spinner early off, saw a surface swirl so I overcast it with the spinner and got just past it and wham... landed this bad boy. Moved through mud lake a bit, was throwing a jig caught some dinks in 5-10 fow, just couldn't get on top of anything decent size... pulled out atleast a dozen 1-2 pounders nothing over 3# at all. Seems to be something I'm struggling with, maybe because most of the bigger bass have moved deeper and this is a primarily shallow area. This was the average size I was catching all day, jigs and t-riged senkos were the ticket. Finally found an area with some decent slop and lillies. I threw a frog at it for about an hour and landed 3 dinks... missed a few more.
  10. lol indeed the only actor who creeps me out more is Steve Buscemi and my favorite actor Robert Knepper!
  11. Thought of that as well cart, tried to give every possibility there was as I wanted the reel... but upon further investigation he actually stated that it was a handle from a 7.1:1 on a 6.4:1 reel. I'll be sending it back for a refund and leaving neutral feedback if the return process goes as expected.
  12. I do beleive they are the same, and this is one reason I debated just keeping it. Then I started wondering what other parts might have been reconstructed on the reel. Then I started doing some tests, when I took the next step and measured the retrieve it retreived approx 31" in 1 revolution showing that it was in fact a 7.1:1 which makes me wonder about the sellers intentions.
  13. Did you pay new retail price? : No, About $10 under. Is the reel working as expected from a new reel? : Yes How is the handle different from what you expected and how does it change the reel performance? : Handle is different because the reel is supposed to be a 6.4:1 handle states 7.1:1 on it Buying it unseen... buyer beware (and lower your expectations to a real-world level): This was advertised as a used reel with minor surface wear in a 6.4:1 gear ratio. I received a cosmetically good reel, the handle states 7.1:1 this makes me beleive 1 of 2 things originally. 1) This is a 7.1:1 which I did not order. 2) This is a remanufactured or refurbished reel thus likely voiding any warranty with the manufacturer. When I contacted the seller he told me "the handle is from a different reel" Pretty sure a real world honest seller with good intentions not set to scam someone would not misconstrue any of this information and PUBLISH that it was a reconstructed reel.
  14. Man... I never really imagined there would be any bass of decent size in golf ponds... make me really wonder about some of these ponds around town that I never see people fishing but look like they have potential.
  15. Depp has some great movies... this one looks just as good, I may actually see this.

  18. Really? Neither of the two near me even carry live bait.
  19. lol always great to have a cat slam your crank... (take that how you will... ;D) Quite a few cat will hit huskey jerks when fishing for walleye in early spring or late fall in shallow water.
