JJ's Magic Recipe Book
I thought it would be a useful guide to have some of us who use JJ's Magic to post some color combinations. IE: 2 dips chartreuse / 2 dips Blue makes this shade of purple (post pic). So here we go, post your favorite combinations with recipe and picture. I'll be posting some of mine shortly when I get the chance,

Rod action
Has more to do with when the fish jerks left and right, how fast the tip is moving / whipping back into place. A moderate action vs a fast action, the moderate will bend lower, thus when the fish makes a sharp jolt will bend lower and have less of an impact. A fast action has a higher chance when that fish jolts left or right the tip will bend real quick then put more pressure at snapping back up right resulting in more trebbles torn out. Atleast thats how I understand it. When I'm fishing cranks I dont even really set the hook. I feel the hit, tighten the line and slowly turn the rod to the opposite direction of the fish just keeping pressure on, for the most part the fish sets itself on the trebbles.

Need some help
Never tested the mossy back myself, never even held one yet to be honest. From the specs though it looks like the 6'8MH would do you a bit better if your fishing rougher cover, skipping jigs between logs etc, and would be better suited for a higher # braided line. I don't use many spincast set ups. The resident expert on Loomis rods is Road Warrior. May want to give him a shout, he'd be able to tell you better how they fish and what to expect, the extent of my knowledge with them is borrowing a friends set ups, and in store feels. From what your describing though I would think that the Mossy back 6'8" MH/EF would suit you very well.

Stringing a new spinning reel
I don't use the water or the bowl, I have a plano line box that does it very nicely. Holds like 8 spools of line and had a guide for them to come out straight. But here ya go: http://www.ehow.com/how_4478523_string-spinning-reel.html

New product pictures from ICAST!!!!!!
Every time I see the Vendetta it jumps out at me, how did it feel Glenn? Those yacks are very cool, and the hand trolling to foot trolling converter is genius.

Fish illness?
Went out today for about an hour after work to try out my new Powell 683c (which I love). Anyhow, first 10 minutes I was there was on fire. 3 dink LM and a small northern (about 14"). The second LM I pulled out looked disgusting. It had 2 or 3 red goozing boils like canker sores on its lips and another near its eye. I have never seen this. I wish I had brought my camera so I could have imaged it. I have pulled plenty of bass out of this lake with no issues (Lake Mendota, Madison WI). I know there is a high mercury content in some of the 70' + areas of the lake but I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with it. Anyone seen anything like this? Possible things it could be? Should I report it to the DNR?

Best Way to Transport Rods and Reels
;D Have you seen the ceiling mount racks? Not sure how well they work but seems it might be worth looking into. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_15989_100011007_100000000_100011000_100-11-7 This one I think would work better but would need to fit 2. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_15992_100011007_100000000_100011000_100-11-7

Need opinion on an eBay issue
I have ordered items from Canada and had them take over a month to arrive. The tracking issues are very hard in cross country transactions as well. He probably didn't put a tracking order on it as its about 10 bucks extra if I remember correctly.
