Carbonlite Good For Skipping Under Docks?
I love my Carbonlite but I don't use for skipping. It's a 6'8 M-XF Spinning Here is the link about skipping and rod size, Seem to range from 6' to 7' and MH is your average power choice. By the way welcome to the site!! Also it seems 20# to 30# braid is the way to go with a Flouro leader.

Best Colors For Plastics When Cloudy?
The used technique for plastics that I use is wacky so Senko Plum Apple for me. Worked for me anytime not matter conditions unless topwater is on like yesterday couldn't buy a hit unless it was topwater. Today was somewhat the same as well. Other than that color I do use June Bug next in line with Greenpumkin, Watermelon. I had some luck with Black/blue laminate or blue flake.

Others Fishing In Your Casting Zone
We even have that problem over 10+ rods out by one man on a pier in Colonial Beach. WOW! I stop going if my boat not up and running I don't go saltwater. Sadly my boat been down for over 4 years so I only been fishing saltwater a very few times.

Deep Water Bass Lures
This is something I'm trying to learn as well. The best I had done was in 15' with a shaky head. I had troll around the 15'-20' range with a rattle trap yanking them out with a gold/black one knocker by Excalibur. I even troll 60' passing a d**n to get to other side and caught a tiny bass, shocked me. I heard wacky is productive deep so I'm going to try that as well with jig heads. I never had luck cranking deep but might been ratio speed at time which I recently bought a setup for cranking but not for deep unfortunately. I was told here though I could go with 14' divers though with the rod I have/ I got myself a slower ratio reel as well.

Favorite Mono Lines For Spinning
I'd always like Sufix Elite in 8# for my spinning gear so I never used anything else when I was using Mono.

Koppers Live Target Frog Problem
I never had this problem so I can't tell you how to fix it but god I hate Gorilla glue. takes to long to bond and never seem to hold for me. Not only that its expands and turn to this nasty looking yellow color.

Can Keep Flourocarbon From Spinning Off Reel!
I use 10# on my reels. Yea they cause me problems but nothing to stop me. Sufix flouro I don't recall any jumping off problems but I use this for 1/4 and 3/8 chatterbaits. The XPS CarbonGold did till I did the water trick now it's been manageable, this is my line I use for 1/16 or bigger shaky. The Trilene 100% still does it every now and then after the water trick but I just go with it, my wacky setup(mostly weightless).

A Friendly Reminder.
I did that with those cheap sprig dial like ones I think made by Eagle claw. I kept reading the KG on there but didn't matter it was wrong anyways so I ditch it for the $20 Berkley from Walmart. I made sure that's right for as LB and KG went. So far it seem to be pretty good to me.

So How About That Rain
You mean like new lakes and ponds? If so a few with no luck three I went Skunked on. Diascund, Powhatan lakes(both), and Chesdin. I want back to a few AP hill ponds that I had no luck last year out and did good there this year. I only fish the Ni twice this year and I fish the Rap by boat off in Hopyard landing. Nothing big for bass but a 3# cat and a 4# bowfin, lol. I tried Caroline pines on Thursday with only 3 small ones. Will be going back next Thursday if weather hold up. I blame the weather for the bad turnout on Thursday. I will like to hit Ni Res one more time before they close, Hunting Run and Mott's as well. I haven't really been going far since I'm next to AP Hill and I enjoy fishing their ponds and lakes. AP Hill even got newer listing of ponds this year from last year by the map I got but I haven't yet try them. One is called Lunker hole. Allot of the Ponds aren't boat accessible or by land so I'm hoping this winter to land me a Kayak of some sort. God I wish I kept my 11' jon boat. Cause I'm sure if the ponds are holding their not being hit often. You don't see many fishing in the base either since they have three that doesn't require going through base and the checks. Bowie pond, Smoot's pond and White lake. I was also hoping to Briery for the first but have not yet. Is that one pond still in Fredericksburg I think it was called Buds pond but I might be wrong it's behind some townhouse's somewhere just can't remember, haven't been there since my teen days. I've been also meaning to hit the ponds off of Gordon rd as well just not done it this year. My brother said he fish a few near the one we hit last year but I never fished them yet. My chatterbait is missing those small ponds, lol. Have you, Dhami or anyone y'all know ever fished Ruffin's pond off rt 2 near Lee's Hill and Tidewater? I've been wanting to try there but afraid of getting in trouble since I don't live in Ruffins nor have permission.

So How About That Rain
Yep allot of rain. I did try and go out the past Thursday around 9am to 12:30pm with the wife after our son got on the bus for school. I landed only 3 lil guys and my wife nothing. Here though allot of rain the lakes and pond not to bad. Not clear lies usual but not dirty brown neither. The bite was very off when we went but also a place I'm not fimiliar with at all to even know about this place. Me and her will try again this following Thursday if weather still holds good. I'm deciding if want to hit Bowie Pond tomorrow for a few hours before football starts. Not sure yet I guess I have to wait and see how I feel then in the morning. Being from Fredericksburg have you tried Mott's run this year? I'm hoping to make it before the end of fall. I haven't fished there in years but never for bass fishing. Well good luck when y'all get out!

Do You Fish With Your Significant Other?
Welcome MommaKop!! Bluebasser86- I understand that. I bet she was very happy when you gave it to her. Did you pick it all out or she did and you bought it? Back to topic. Me and the wife went out yesterday. With way everything been happning here with the weather I guess fishing wasn't good. I landed three, lost two. The bites wasn't like a bite more of a pull feel. The wife she didn't catch anything and She informed my new crankbait setup now belongs to her and Man I just bought it not to long ago. She did say I can borrow it anytime I go.

Tempeture Drop And Rain- What To Do?
Must be true, lol. I went today with the wife and I only landed three on wacky. Lost two. The wife a few bites. The bite was not on here but also went to a place I wasn't sure of and only been there once. Man I wanted to land a buzzbait fish as well but no hits. Out in the ope there was seem to be a nice one jumping but sure if bass or what else this small lake hold far as species but couldn't get it on topwater. Overall annoying but nice time with the wife. She had a blast but landed nothing. Her second time bass fishing though. The hits seem to come off the first cast and bites was more like pull than tap or jerks. If try good luck to you! The best I did today.

Do You Fish With Your Significant Other?
Bluebasser86- How about I not show my wife that rod! lol She been dying for a pink one and I told her their all junk, though I might try and get her the lady Pflueger Trion in pink. That lady Avid she would die for I just know it. Back to fishing with the wife, we are hoping to go tomorrow. She is off and our boy just started Pre-K. Now we will have time to fish just hopefully we don't get kicked out where we're going. Not private property but it is in a non gated community that I'm not sure require stickers since there's dues and I never once seen security there patrolling. I've been fishing there quite a few times no problems even once in my other jon boat. So I don't think there will be a problem. Hopefully we can go, have a good time and catch some fish. She is very new to it so I might might put her on wacky and C-rigs. I do very hope to have some pictures to post of her. Good news I heard a 10# was pulled out of the small lake during the spring, how true not sure. My brother said he as well seen a big one suspending near the shallows when we first scouted the lake. I know its a deep lake for even small. Here's to us hopefully, I only fished it once with and went skunked.
