To understand correctly the hook goes through the frog out the back? Is the hook left exposed? Might have to gives this a shot especially fishing in the grass. Nice bass BTW. Did you land anymore that day?

Only thing I will say be easier is the fact you don't have to worry about the bail and the difference in handles while fishing especially on the bank if able too maybe cast on land first? But when coming distracted I easily do that even with my casting reels. Heck I even backlash not paying attention Than that's just a mess in itself. I think when your distracted your distracted no matter the gear or what your tossing out. Got to keep the eye on the prize!! lol I even lose bites when just wacky rigging it cause I'm talking to my brother and not paying attention. I even lose or miss hits fishing by myself just cause I'm looking around the area especially when I'm out frogging. I'm to busy paying attention to my surroundings. I easily get distracted by wildlife.

That's a mistake I make allot myself. I would reel so fast sometimes where the buzzbait is running on the side. I just calm down and try to relax but your are exactly right.

I don't know a whole lot but if ask me I would think your main problem could be your ratio more than anything, spinning or casting. Your reel ratio is 4.2.I would think just reeling the buzzbait like crazy to keep on top the water could be affecting your concentration or maybe affecting the bait. I could seriously be wrong but I would definitely try and get a faster reel. I'm just going by what I've been told. I wonder if maybe you could try maybe 1/4 size buzzbait with that reel? If that not the size your trying already. BTW I like the looks of that reel, how do you like it?

Rebel 3" in silver black or Hula popper Ghost Dog. I just love the wide mouth and the big bloop from the Hula but Rebel is great also.

Crawl like on the bottom? Just want to make sure I understand correctly? I never really tried that, I always pick up chatterbait and toss it out. One day might just have to give it a shot.

How long till your healed? I don't know anything about a tore tendon so I hope you have a quick recovery. Are you able to walk at all?

Last time out when was like this Buzzbait worked well for me. Matter of fact only thing that work the last two trips out. Allot of people recommend the black buzzbait but all I had and work at those moment was my Chartreuse Cavitron. I just know when all else fail I stick to my wacky in dark colors like june bug, blue, black and blue. My favorite color and seem to work at any condition for me is Senko plum apple. I'm not sure your situation if will be on land or boat, fishing lake, pond, or river. Good luck to you! I wouldn't say so depending on the gear, rod and reel your using. Believe me I know very little but when coming to buzzbaits I was told you need a pretty fast ratio reel and depending on which spinning reel you got, your ratio might be to slow. Like all my spinning gear is 5.2:1. The reel I'm using for my buzzbait is 6.4:1 or it could just be the wrong spot or wrong bait choice. Are you getting any hits? What kind of rod or you using? I probably can't tell you if the rod is good for topwater let alone buzzbait but others might.

Agreed!! Just stay persistent and patient. Good luck to you this fall. I'm not sure how it is where your at but I think Va been getting rain like crazy lately. We dealt with that hurricane than some nasty heavy rain what almost four or five days which I went fishing during the break that Thursday morning before more rain came dumping in that afternoon(landed 3 small guys on wacky)and after that cold front and all that rain to pass to hit up a pond that following Wednesday 9/14( 3 bass biggest maybe 2#) and Thursday 9/15 which I landed a 6.4# and another small one and my wife landed her a little bass. All Wed. and Thurs. came from a Chartreuse buzzbait and my wife's a Booyah buzzbait. Nothing would even touch a worm those two days. The lake we fish on that Thursday was MURKY. I don't recall much or any visibility. Now this week we are dealing with more rain, nice down pour today and I am contemplating on going tomorrow which is also post to be raining, storming.

How you think I feel?? I had to settle and pay $139 for my Curado 200E5 when everyone was finding these crazy deals. I wish I could find the Citica like that now for the wife so I can get that over the Abu black max. She really wants that reel but there has to be better but shes being STUBBORN . She did basically stole my Curado. She uses all the time when we go out fishing together.
