It's a Boy . . . and 2 Girls !
Way to go A-Jay! You've got the makings of a full fledged dog sledding team once those little ones grow up a bit. I have the feeling that a certain spouse has a new permanent smile on her face.

She made it !!
A very big congratulations to your daughter. A tip of the hat to her parents also, who have obviously been very positive role models for her.

Lobina Westy Worms
Gosh, now I've got to go back and read the forum rules again. AA & I went and showed links to a couple of regional baits in of all places, a section called "Fishing Tackle"! In my opinion, I like to see what other guys have run across in the way of baits. Of course I look on it as a way to learn.... What was I thinking.

Interesting looking. But here's the one that is the most popular of the pre-rigged baits around here: http://www.stopperlures.com/bass_stopper.html

Revisiting spots???
Depends on the spot, the species, and the day. If I was on a shallow water topwater bite, I may not return to that exact spot, but will many times return to deeper water nearby. On one specific lake, I always had one deepwater hole that I would hold off visiting until mid-afternoon. Other lakes, I used to have a milk run that I would make two or three complete trips around in a day. Not that they replenish so much as the remaining fish calm back down and resume feeding. Unless it was the time of year were fish were migrating, I'd reserve the replenish idea for a day two or three. With smallmouth, if I or the backseater unbutton a couple of fish, it can shut the school down. In such a case, I would leave and come back within an hour or so. Other times, you don't leave a spot regardless. I have put a limit in the boat and then parked on that spot to make sure nobody else could get to it during the day. It can get interesting when you try to herd other boats away from a small area, but I have done it a number of times. Every day is different to a certain extent. A lot of times, it boils down to knowing how the weather can turn off or turn on various places on the lake. That just comes with time on the water.

I'm going to the Bassmasters classic!
Get up early and hit the boat launch/blast off in the mornings with your camera. There will be a designated parking area for all of the fishermen at the weigh in site. You won't be able to get into this area, but getting up near that entrance might get you some good pictures as well. And don't forget to post a report on here with pictures!

If you could ask Bobby Lane one question
Why? Why would you put that terrible curse on the Detroit Lions? http://curseofbobbylayne.com/wordpress/ What's that, different spelling? Never mind! ;D

Well......
I wouldn't mention any specific amount, but I don't see anything wrong with explaining that you would take something other than cash.

You're Invited to the 6th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I've been thinking about it, but I'm not sure what everybody's tastes are. I have a local client up here that has a meat market where I could get custom cut NY Strips - 14oz @ $4 each. I think we could get Pork Loins for around the same price. Plate cost with sides of homemade Potato Salad and BBQ Beans would probably run around $6. It would require a bring your own table service. Should be able to make it if the cabin folks bring enough to cover the lodge residents. I would just need a body count by April 1st. If its going to be the NY Strips, I'd want to do this dinner on Sunday night.

Why don't they have these...
I'm going to have nightmares tonight. BC launches his own company that offers bait parties along the lines of MaryKay Cosmetics. Half the guys show up wanting to get sponsored for free tackle, and the other half try to start their own businesses so they can work towards their own bubblegum colored bassboat. ;D

New Dog
What a great looking puppy!

Well......
My advice would be to put together a normal resume that you would prepare for any type of sales job. In short, that is what you are really offering to the company. You want to highlight your education and your previous work history. Also include your plans for your continuing educational goals. Any reference to your fishing exploits should be tied to how your first hand knowledge of the company's products will help increase sales for the company. If you want to discuss potential compensation for the work you will be doing for the company, this would be the only place I would mention taking products instead of actual cash.

You're Invited to the 6th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
Last year we received about 18" of rain Saturday and Sunday. The river was closed below the Pickwick Dam. On Sunday, in torrential rain, tornado watches and warnings, Big O and our two soldiers caught 140 bass. Most of these were smallmouth including two Personal Best! All our fishing was above the dam. Let me say that a different way. I was under the impression with the pre-trip banter that smallies up stream in the current, largemouth farther down. Don't worry about my meandering mind, its cold out and the snow is now @$$hole deep to a tall injun around here, and I'm getting tired of buying fishing tackle! ;D

It's been awhile since I asked a stupid question, so here goes. I seem to remember reading in the thread for the last roadtrip that the big smallies were found up near the tailwaters of each of the dams on this river system. So is there a fishable population below KY Lake dam?

Selling Scrap Metal
For the last few years, the west-central part of Michigan that I call home was prime pickings in the scrap business. Lots of guys out picking up whatever wasn't bolted down and hauling it to the nearest scrapyard. It wasn't all that unusual to see a half-dozen rust heaps sitting behind Farmer John's barn, but not anymore. People were paying $100 for a junker and turning it into $400 within an hour or so. It didn't take long to see all the easy pickings vanish. Now, the popularity of the 18v. reciprocating saw has soared! The farm behind us uses above ground irrigation (called pivots) on most of their fields. A few of the neighborhood boys went out one night for a five finger discount and loaded the pcikup with pipe. They were caught the next morning driving down the highway headed to the scrapyard. The cops thought it looked funny for those big long pipes sticking out of the back end of a pickup. Others have resorted to stealing full wire spools from electrical contractors. This isn't residential stuff, we're talking power lines. One high school found that half of their aluminum bleachers were missing! A resort on a local lake lost all of the rowboats! All I can say is Thank God that headstones are made out of stone..... They stole all the veteran's markers.

BIG winter storm in Midwest
I did! Of course it was in August, at around 5pm, and there wasn't any snow, but the average speed was exactly the same! That has to be the worst street in America. >

I thought you guys were talking about the movie. Encore is showing over and over all day. Wonder where they got the idea to keep repeating the same story, over and over again, like it would never end? ;D- STATE VS STATE ---Season 3 2011 ***CLOSING DATE REVISED***
