  1. the stanley sidewinder does a darn good job floating rigged weightless
  2. thanks for that, very cool
  3. Who sells the Skipper Shad? A sweet little bait i inherited a while back that produced for me back in the day. Especially when i saw em bustin the surface. Anyways, i don't have it anymore and i need! It's just a slab of lead you can throw a long way and with a fast retrieve it looks like a shad skipping as it tries to escape. Bob Ponds designed it in the early 70's.
  4. it is my worst bait. I'm sure there are worse lures. they dont have them in the natural colors like the regular ribbits, and their legs don't kick as well. they have to be burned to get action, i'm just really ticked off at em right now ;D
  5. white spro frog, any big *** worm, and deep diving cranks.
  6. chaco. i am also extremely flatfooted and these have a nice shape to them, plus they last forever
  7. wouldnt risk it. you need everything in your favor especially when every hit could be your PB. froggin requires a serious hook set, and long rods and braided line together move a bunch of line on a hookset. like dude said, mono is like a rubberband, especially if you get bit 35+ yards away. and fishing on the edges of cover still gives them a chance to dive into that cover once theyre hooked up. bass, especially around pads, have this trick where they pass the hook off to the pith of a pad stem, still have no idea how they do it but you gotta be able to hoist that mama outta that stuff quickly....not happening with mono
  8. thats all you need. and if youre fishing through cover, pegged bullet weight.
  9. it would make more sense to fish them in stained water, which is where you need more turbulance
  10. if you bend that pin slightly before re inserting it, it'll stay in
  11. no crap! you just can't score on the octopus in a world cup final, not how it works.
  12. just consider it a symbiotic relationship, they were cleaning the dead skin off your toes, and in turn they are fed!
  13. heck yeah! land it with a bandit!
  14. only if it's this guy...
  15. black fluke with chartreuse tail 1/16 oz weight pegged
  16. brushhoggin replied to Micro's topic in Everything Else
very cool. they look like dread locks. much more appropriate for a tree ;D
  17. i do like this...
  18. Actually RW, English Premier League doesn't start till Aug 15.
  19. this is the rod i use for this application and it's perfect. favorite rod. also good for texas rigs, shakey heads and even crank baits. http://www.tackledirect.com/kistler-mgssbs73-small-swimbait-special-casting-rod.html
  20. thats the thing. true the altitude allows the ball to travel 5% faster way above sea level. and yes they strive for a moving knuckle ball, but they don't control the direction in which the ball knuckles. A big part of footie is the precision. having the vision to place a ball exactly where it's intended to go is a great skill that makes the game so beautiful to watch. i have a feeling they made the ball that way for entertainment purposes. A lot of people who don't normally watch soccer are finally watching, and FIFA wants a good first impression.
  21. No it'll be a good game. i was hoping for a repeat of the 74 world cup cause i wasn't around yet to catch it. ;D i agree todays game was lame. this world cup has been weird. sub-standard officiating, the horns, and that ball man, i hate the ball they're using. wiggles around too much when it's hit towards goal. now if the players meant to make it curve away from the goalie at the last second when shot, it'd be different.
