  1. yeah i've been thinking on this for a while now since Van dam won the BMC in beeswax creek. Some folks have tagged bass supposedly that have returned to where they were caught 5 miles away, but i'm not sure i believe that. The ecosystem has a natural order, or way of doing things and it seems like it would throw a stick in the spokes of their habitat. taking a bunch of bass from where they were caught to a weigh in area miles away may could screw up the balance of a lake, or any body of water. removing females that would have otherwise produced more bass in a certain area diminishes population in that area right? resident bass get familiar with their area like where to hide, pathways to deeper water, local structure and cover, and best places to feed. just seems like releasing all of them in the same, unfamiliar area isn't the best idea.
  2. good god that fish in that last pic has a huge head!
  3. last thursday i had the day off and went to a neighborhood lake to do a bit of bank fishing. I was the only person there so i had a feeling the lake was untouched till i showed up. i replaced a lizard i had on with a spro jr and cast it on the bank on the other side of the finger i was fishing and pulled it in the water and twitched it twice when a 6-7 pound personal best destroyed it. whatta fight too man, came flyin clear out of the water 3 or 4 times, it's a wonder she didn't come unbuttoned. of course i didn't have any scales but it was way longer and bigger than by previous PB on this lake 5.13. i'll never forget it. first cast, scared the crap out of me. only pic i got was a down the throat shot with my cell phone

  11. another vote for the Revo S. you can't beat it without spending more
  12. I can cast these things a mile but rarely do because I'm afraid a proper hookset is jeopardized given the distance. I have a 7'6" H froggin rod with 55lb braid and i'm moving a lot of line on a hookset so it could be all in my head. Opinions?
  13. "I" before "E" except after "C" And Drogba dislocated his elbow, you'd think he'd be good to go after a couple weeks. "Later Friday, L'Equipe reported that Drogba had retracted his remarks. He had a dislocated elbow, not a fractured arm, the paper reported, and planned to have emergency surgery that might allow him to play in the Ivory Coast opener against Portugal.
  14. don't believe that guy man, lotta folks lie bout that kinda crap. Say a little prayer for their soul and start throwin those dinks on the bank
  15. And the incessant, omnipresent mosquito.
  16. I think I've told this one here before. My buddy was taking a leak off the back of the boat when i got my foot on the trolling motor and backed the boat up on a bush sticking outta the water that had a wasp nest on it. ;D If there were a speed diving world record he would've broken it that day ;D It all backfired cause i was the one that got stung a couple times, but at least he had to jump in
  17. Not if it's pringles I caught one yesterday that had a tiny bluegill in his mouth, she hadn't even begun swallowing it. I pulled her in and my spro bronzeye had that tiny bluegill pinned to her gullet. Some gluttonous creatures.
  18. nature rules
  19. never heard of tinkering with the spro other than bending the hooks slightly upwards. it only takes a half second to squeeze the water out of a spro after every other cast
  20. junebug red baby brush hog
