  1. Nice job! I bet that was exciting!!!
  2. A Pflueger President spinning real and Extreme rod combo is on sale right now for 99 bucks! I just thought I would tell everyone about this. I think it is a great deal! You can also get a pflueger tackle bag for $7 through a mail in coupon. I can't wait for mine to come! :D
  3. That looks like a very cool spinnerbait. I like that color. The size you got shoud do fine for ponds with smaller bass. This bait should immitate a bluegill very well. Just cast it out aroud some weads and hang on!
  4. A cover bouncing shallow crank, brightly colored with rattle. Norman Fat Boy in the Tom Craw Green color possibly. Good luck!
  5. Yeah, I seen that in Bassmaster too. (It was on the front cover!) The article also talked about rigging it backwards... , so not much of a bassresource secret anymore.
  6. A pre-rigged worm, like a bass stopper. Weedles version.
  7. Im with Roadwarrior, the Normon Fat Boy in bluegill.
  8. Why would this person want a baitcaster for that application? Just curios. :-?
  9. Yeah, I sean and am considering this deal also. You save $80!
  10. Welcome! The Revo SX seams like an upgrade to the Revo S. From the discription it seems like it could be used for more applications. However it is 50 bucks more. I have never used these reels, so I can't help you that much.
  11. Those are some fairly big bass for an ultralight! Nice job! Also it was cool that your freind got his first bass.
  12. I am a little confused about reels, both spinning and baitcasting. As I was looking through the BPS catalog I noticed that the higher priced reels had more ball bearings. Does this mean that the more bearings, the better the reel? Thanks.
  13. BPS definatley has good values in their Extremes and Bionic blades. I would go with one of those. You can save even more money if you get a combo deal. Good luck!
  14. Doug Strickland was doing a fishing seminar using those rods. He said he really like them, but of couse, they were his sponser.
  15. I recently heard a seminar where Mark Hicks was explaining the uni knot. He said that you should wrap the braided line around like 7 times. Im not sure if this would help you or not. Good luck!
  16. I like the Strikeking 3X finness worm because they float real well. However, its hard to use the screw in heads with them.
  17. Well, Swinlde and Clunn are out, but guess what, KVD is in first, again. GO KLEIN!!!!!!!!!!
  18. I don't think that their starting position will have too much effect.
  19. It shouldn't effect Reese that much as he made $600,000 in sponsor money last year.
  20. WOW!!!!! You are VERY busy!! And only a freshman, thats amaizing. Congatulations on all your accomplishments.
  21. 1, 43, 74, 84, 176. I see we all have similar picks. GO TEAM DOMINATE FISHERS!!!!
  22. Crappie and large bluegill will compete with the bass for forage. This is not good. I would not recomend crappie in the same pond with bass. I'm not sure how fast the bass will grow. The bass will probably spawn in the shallow area around the grass. But if the water is real clear they might move out deaper. I dont think that the crappie and panfish will eat all the small bass. The best place to fish now is probably where the water is the clearest. Hope that helps. Good luck!

The Wall-mart close to me has a ton of rods on sale. I got a 6'6" medeim action Shakespeare Durango for $7 today. Walmart expanding their fishing section would make more sense than them getting rid of it.
  24. I think that finnesse fishing is becoming more popular because of the higher fishing pressure. Also remember that lake travis is 30ft. lower, and is really cold right now. Also, there were 400 anglers on it today. Those conditions favor finness methods.
  25. I just bought a 6'6" medeim action Shakespeare Durango for $7 at wallmart. ;D I thought I would just through that into this conversation.
