  1. Welcome "an come on in" I'm from north of Asheville NC..Live on the Cane river..Love them smallies
  2. I agree with Blee... (Did you know that rhymes?) any way...besides this forum being the best run forum. I have learned so much, things I didn't even know existed, rigs, bait, different lines, weather effects, etc... People in here even share things that didn't work, which is just as much help. Ya gotta to love this place. G
  3. I LIKE IT!!!!!
  4. I stocked on a few things too, mostly crank baits. last year they were selll out of gulp bait..sinking minnows and shakey head worms for $2.50 a pack..in pumpkin and green too. I got to budget fish too.
  5. BPS has a lot of good reels with the same features. Extreme or Pro Qualifier
  6. Hey everyone I was at Walmart yesterday, a lot of their fishing stuff was on sale, they had a close-out rack. Mann's Baby 1-minus lures were $2.50(not many color selection) and Bill Lewis' Rattle traps were $2.96(a lot of different colors). They had a bunch of other stuff as well. Don't know if it is just this Walmart or due to the season, or what. Just though I'd pass it along. Might want to stock up on a few things. G
  7. A old jointed Rapla, J-5 sliver w/black back, caught my first smallmouth. I have went swimming, a few times, to get this lure back. I hung it up with my collection and bought another one. Just doesn't seem to catch as many fish, I know it is all in my head, but still....
  8. Welcome and "come on in" I know what you mean. "Fishing is a peace of mind that matches no other."

  12. I live north of Asheville NC,on the Cane River. I use a finesse worm Texas rigged, or a paca chunk on a strike king jig, both green pumpkin color. Top water poppers or a jointed rapala. They work good for me too. I wade fish on a small river, smallies is want I catch the most.

  17. I Should feel relieved that I haven't went over board with my fishing stuff, But I think I feel jealousy for not have all the cool fishing gear you guys have. Should I open the door and let the bait monkey in or whip him off my porch with one of the rods I don't use. Haha By the way Roadwarrior I printed the 6 rules of a fishing rod and reel for my fridge. Thanks
  18. WOW!!!! That front cast platfrom is huge . Love the dual cockpit too. Very nice boat.

    Thanks for the info.
  21. I use them, they work pretty good. I lose a lot of tackle here in the river, very rocky bottom. Gotta love them Walmart prices!!!
  22. I carry all my stuff in a one strap back pack that I can spin to the front to get my stuff then slid it around to my back. I use waders in the winter and shorts and water shoes in the summer. I have a 6'6" med with a bait caster I use mostly, but I do have an ultra light I use now and then.
