Motorguide Hydrilla Prop?
mine works in the lite hydrilla but if your trying to get thru the thick matted stuff forget it. in open water the hydrilla prop is much slower. there was alot of feedback that this prop can only be used on the digital tm. i called motor guide to confirm this and it doesnt matter what they told me.

Fishing from the Edge, Mike Iaconelli
i havent read the book so i find it hard to imagine that i will change my opinion about the guy. i cant stand him. to boil it all down i feel that anyone who is in the spotlite has to conduct yourself above and beyond. actions speak louder than words

freshwater rods and reels in saltwater
i have all baitcasters. mostly shimano reels. one diawa. how can i be asured it is ok to use any of my reels in saltwater? i will be wading for redfish and will try very hard not to submerge my reel in salt but if i do will it have to be completely disassembled or just rinsed. any input. seems like alot of people use the older green curados for salt. but really how so you know before hand .

Finding them PT 2
doesnt the time of day dictate if bass are still in a feeding mode to be chasing shad? how about summer versus fall. in fall are bass in a constant feeding mode most of the day chasing shad all day long? so if you find a hump outside of the feeding times do you concentrate on reaction type lures only? or will bass still be at humps at all outside of feeding times

what kind of electronics on your boat
the reason i ask is i have a lowrance X52 up front and a lowrance flasher at the driver console. i want to know what i am missing. i dont want something that is just a bunch of bells and whistes and will take me 3 months to learn how to use it. i want something that is going to be easy to read and understand without all the xtras that i will probably never use. i have a seperate hand held GPS. I believe in KISS! keep it simple stupid. also how do you know what your getting unless you see the unit in action? i really liked how the Hummingbird side image show on TV shows it being put to use. but thats the only one i have seen in action .

how long to find a brush pile???
using this for the sake of discussion lets say last weekend you notice some fishermen catching fish off shore. you stop say 100 feet from them to get a GPS coordinate. The following week you come back to the same spot and try to locate that single brush pile in 15 feet of stained water. typically how long would it take you to locate that brush pile on your sonar??? what kind of electronics are you using ?

anything you enjoy as much as fishing or more

Never fished before, and heading to Caddo Lake
i congradulate you for all the research you have done before you made your first cast! you really grabbed the bull by the horn. where are you at in Houston? i am in Magnolia so if you want some ponds to fish to get your confidence up on catching fish i can give a few in my area. its tough to go to a public lake and start catching fish when you are starting out.

lawnmowers, power equipment and bass
i like to fish docks on a high pressured lake. when homewoners are operating lawn equipment, chainsaws, circular saws, etc how do you find the noise effects bass on an already high pressured lake with pleasure boaters and homes all around it? what is your rule of thumb when its too noisey to move elsewhere?

will BPS inspect a reel before they ship
i am assuming that shimano has a big problem here and with all the returns going back to BPS i would thiink BPS would go the extra step and try to help with the problem. this sounds like an unusual issue so in order to keep customers happy an unusual effort needs to be made. under normal circumstances of course this kind of request wouldnt happen
-
will BPS inspect a reel before they ship
i dont see why not. i am sure they like cabelas has a team of people that are testing new products to see that it is worthy of selling under there name. at least they arent going out in the blizzard to test the latest clothing for deer hunting like they have to do for that line of product.
