i have rarely seen anyone fising deep structure use a marker buoy. what are the pros and cons of using them or not using them

what time of year do you find marinas productive? what kind of structure do you look for? are boats that are tied off to metal docks with no cover and look to be rarely moved offer good spots?? how about the end of the ramp that is being used quite often, do you find fish there?? what else

that looks like mission viejo lake is it?? i dont live in so. cal anymore so i may be rusty

in general how much time do you spend fishing power lures to finesse lures? do many of you find that using power lures for searching doesnt work and then use finesse lures regardless??

how long are these productive before age wears them down? other than christmas trees what is used

i used to subscribe to bass west when i lived in cali. do any of you find it helpful on lakes that are not clear and deep?

this guy got me started bass fishing 20 years ago. i lost touch with him but he seems to be like Anna Kournikova ( might have mispelled ) is to tennis. i dont follow pro bass anglers that much to know what the problem is with him so i am asking. is he cocky? rude to fans? attitude problem? or is it because his track record isnt up to par with other pros on the water and he is popular anyway? i am refering to Velvick

i second that in that i dont like pitchin and or flippin either. its just not my cup of tea if you call it . bringing in a fish intentionally from 5 feet out is like shooting a deer 10 feet down from a deer stand.

so as far as working the light carolina rig in grass do you reel just slow enough to feel a bit of drag of the weight hitting the grass, or drag the rig with the rod tip ? is a glass bead necessary here? how light of a weight are you refering to with a floating lure?

all right these are good tips guys! if i am going to fish in approx 15 feet of water and need to lighten up on the weight to keep it above the grass, what would be a good weight to start with? is the idea here to use the floating lure to counter balance the weight so the whole rig is riding on top of the grass??

didnt see this anywhere else. do any of you succeed with draging the weight around in rocks and hydrilla? how can i keep from getting snagged ?

the drain that i see on the map is marked as a submerged drain, in the same spot you would see a channel. the ditch is also in the same spot. both lead from a main lake into the back of a cove or pocket. the drain and ditch is refered to as cold weather areas to target during the spawn which also tells me they are deeper structure areas like a channel

can someone tell me what the difference between all three of these are? if any? if there is how do you tell what is what when looking at a depth finder at each of the three. thanks

all this talk about cali law. if a wr was caught foul hooked in a place that does not have the same law would the record stand, technically speaking?

i am taking the week off next week for rayburn for my first time. apparantly there is a major tournement going on this weekend and from what i am reading lots of tournements every weekend since toledo bend is so low. so first doesnt the tornements kill the spawning activity since the fish are not released immediately? and how will the fish respond for the first few days after being pounded all weekend by others that are releasing the fish right away? how should i work these situations into my pattern? thanks

dont get me wrong i dont mean that anything new that comes out and has been tried and proven is horse puckey. if a majority of the bass fishermen say this new thing works then i would call it a basic. one thing that comes to mind is this new biosoinic deal. if those of you who feel that any new possible edge is what your stiving for , how many of you are spending money on this biosonic?

for those of you who fish strictly for recreation and no tournements do you feel that it is necesssary to involve your self deeper than the basics? i feel that there is only so much info that can be put out with montlhy magazines that after a while alot of atricles start to get away from the basics and dwell on things that could work once in a blue moon . how can a montlhy magazine keep the subscribers coming back for more after 10 years or more? Or how can the lure manufactures attract a wave of dollars coming in other than coming out with somthing that is different and will in reality only give minor success. this is why i feel they come up with some odd ball techniques so they have something new to put out. not to say it wont work but under most cases it probably doesnt. do the recreation fishermen out there go beyond the basics and catch enough fish to make it all worth while ? what is your input on this

i have the 05 200 optimax. your prop may come with 3 rubber grommets that let more or less water out of the hub. what i found with mine was the hole shot was lagging so I had to increase the size of the grommet. i ended up taking one completly out. you may have to experiment with this to get your hole shot up to par.

my new home lake has murky water ( 1 foot clarity ) making it almost useless to sight fish. are there better lures than others to tempt the bass to stike the first time its anywhere near the bed rather than having to throw at the same spot and aggrevate the bass. how far will a bass travel from his bed to stike a lure

i would specifically suggest to use 4 pound test on spinning gear with the downsized lures

if your not perfoming on the water like you expect to do you blame it on fishing the wrong areas, your lure selection or your presentation? Or what else?

what situation makes your confidence go down the hill. cold fronts, ultra clear water, suspended bass, mid day fishing on hot clear calm days or what else??? do you attack the problem or shy away from it?

i am concerned about sam rayburn. i also fish conroe but i am getting it down pretty well.

how many pro surfers come from washington, versus hawaii or pro ice hockey players from michigan vs texas. how about pro snowboarders from colorado vs arizona???? it makes common sense to me
