Try some Sunline. It is a bit high but good line.

If you are just starting out to build spinnerbaits order you a kit from Staminalnc.com. Once you have the hang of it you can build on theirs heads or pour your own.

LBH The reason it went back was because it broke on the third cast. I have several Shamano that are 5 years old and they work like new. I know that a lot of people like Pflueger reels but I don't. If a trolling motor spooked them you would not catch anything in Ky lake. I have caught fish with the tolling motor running wide open. I also don't believe a Depth Finder spook them

You don't need a Bill Dance hookset to catch a fish. Just a sharp hook and a snap of the wrist is all you need. That cross their eyes stff is all tv.

Ronnie I always carry a # 4 fly rod in the boat. In the spring and summer I love to catch crappie or blue gill on them. I have also catch several bass using it with a small 1/8 oz white and black popper.
