I use a locking snap swivel on just about everything and no problem with them. Just be sure to get the locking kind.

I cannot see how anyone would think this is cheating. This is like saying anyone that use Lucky Craft lures or a good DF is cheating because they are expensive. Anyone can go out and buy a Biosonix. It is just a pice of equipment just like a rod or reel or a boat.

I have a TD X and love it. It is just as smooth as any reel in their price. I have not hear of any negative with this reel. No problem with drag either.

I was torn between the Sustain and the MG. I chose the MG and love it. Their is very little diffewrence between the two. One being two bearings and a slight smaller spool and about $40 dollors.

I use a 2500 size Stradic mgFA on my SJR843. Work great with Yo-zuri hybrid ulta soft # 6. I love the set up.

I use Sunline Defier. It is 13 pounds test but the size is like 8 pound test mono.

That line is for crappie fishing and not very good for that.

I know a guy who cut the handle off of a rod. He them weight it with lead to balance it. work ok for him.
