  1. CJ Joe Creason was a journalist who was born in Benton. He used the tag line the ""only town in Kentucky were I was born". A lot of the old timers that knew him joke about it.
  2. RW I caught one of your brown fish this morning it put up a good fight. They will bite a senko or a kreature bait. Olebiker how do you know about Joe Creason ????? That is a long standing joke in Benton.

  6. My vote would go to the MgFa. I have 3 of them and they are one great reel.
  7. Catt The reason I recommended a 3 bank charger is most people don't run the big motor long eought to keep the starting battery charged at 100%. The Dual Pro will charge the battery and then go into a maintance mode. If the battery voltage drop for any reason it will charge it back up and go back into maintance. Duel Pro recommenced that you leave the charger on the battery all year long. Also on a lot of new motor they has a computer system that is on all of the time and it will drain your starting battery if you don't keep it charged.
  8. Try the Stradic MgFA. You will like it.

    Why would you want to???????????????????
  10. You need a 3 bank charger. Call Dual pro and order their Three bank pro SE. If you will call the factory you can get a recondition unit for around $200. Their web site is www.dualpro.com
  11. I won a local tournament about 2 weeks ago using the kreature rig backwards with a #4 EWG hook weightless. Toss around weed line and let fall on a semi slack line. Early in the year I used the hula grub on a spot remover head around laydown and also around grass lines. It also can be fished on drop off just like a jig
  12. George they work on Ky lake. good info
  13. I belong to Kentucky Lake Bass Club in the Benton Ky area. If you are interested send me a PM
  14. So true I like Sunline but it don't work for evenbody
  15. I have started using carolina lunker sauce. I think it is a confidence thing
  16. If you want a good Flourocarbon get Sunline FC. It is as good line as you will find. The only drawback is cost and it is hard to find. The next best I have found is Seguar invizx. Do like Dodgeguy said treat it with KVd line spray. I use it on all Spinning reels and no problem
  17. Rw The way I have fished them is on a 1/4 oz unpegged weight around blowdown and crappie beds. I have good luck with them. The average weight of the fish caught on them is around 2-3 pounds I believe the Basstrix is a better lure for the way I fish them but they are hard to find. Like you said this fall we should know how they work

You folks that remember the good old day can have them. I remember then also and will stay with The modern convenience.
  19. I have not tried the tail up or down as George Welcome suggeted but with a 1/4 oz unpegged weight they work here. The color I use 194 or 301
