KVD's winning bait
yep guys are going crazy over this red eye shad. I really don't see much difference between these lipless crankbaits. I use my red eye shads and my excalibur lipless crankbaits and they both produce a good amount of fish for me. I think like you guys do that these people are idiots for trying to buy so much. Lipless cranks have their time and place.

Anyone try the Castiac Catch 22 ?
I have a few. I bought it when I first got into that swimbait craze and couldn't afford the expensive ones like mattlures hardbass or hardgill. As for the catch 22 it's a waste of money. I like it's swimming action, but it's durability is crap. I threw one for about an hour and then the magnet came off, and there was a tear in it somehow. Didn't even get to catch a bass on it at all. From what I heard, castaic lures are really bad quality so stay away from it.

Baitcaster for light stuff...........
I like using the curado 200E for fishing light weights. I'm fishing weightless worms on it and it casts the baits pretty far.

abu cardinal series
the 800 series is the best, but I love using the 700 series for saltwater fishing.

what is your favorite lipless crank?
strike king red eye shads. The chrome and blue color has worked good for me.

Gun Smoke SiC guides
true I agree that Alconite is the best bang for your buck.
-
Gun Smoke SiC guides
X2 These are only the expensive rods worth over $150 because SIC is the best guide insert material available right now. however, you don't really need this guide unless you're going to fish braided line.

Homemade split grips
hey those look nice. Great job on the split grip work also.

braid suggestions??
hey I heard a lot of good things about daiwa samurai braid. I've never tried it because it's very pricey but from what I heard it doesn't dig into your spool and casts very smooth.

Shimano Sahara or Daiwa Exceler ?
the sahara is the better choice. I like daiwa's spinning reels, but only in freshwater. If you fish both fresh and inshore then go with the sahara. Shimano reels always have less bearings because they're good quality. However, daiwa puts more bearings in their reels to make it feel silky smooth on the retrieve and such.

Abrasion Resistance of Hybred
wow that's the first time I heard that. I have 6lb all the way up to 20lb and I don't have a problem. Well I"ve only been using it for a couple of months in both fresh and saltwater and still no problem. I don't know why you have a problem with yours. Maybe someone else can help you out.

Texas Rigged Worms

Are custom painted hard bait better than original?
I don't think it works better. I believe custom painting a lure to your liking would help boost your confidence in wanting to keep throwing that lure even though nothing is biting it. That's the same thing with custom rods, if you like the rod you won't drop it down to trade for an brand name rod you'll keep fishing with your custom rod. So in conclusion CONFIDENCE is what custom painting helps build.

Hialoy guide material
hialoy guides SUCK straight out. They're good for spinning guides or mono fishing line. I would stick with fuji alconite guides and don't go beneath that if you are looking to use braid or flourocarbon. Mono can be used on any type of guide. Braid and superlines will break the insert off of the hialoy guides. The reason I believe why bass pro is switching to these cheaper guides is that it saves them a lot of money and they make more profit out of it. As far as those guides go just avoid them whenever possible.

So whats up with Chartreuse
ask the bass why they love it so much. lol

More catfish
man awesome looking baits. How can I get my hands on one?
-
First baitcaster?????
That's enough money to hop on a new citica 200E. However, if you're lucky you can get a curado for that price as well. These two are the perfect reels for you.

need suggestions for spinnerbaits
wow, those revenge spinnerbaits look awesome. I believe that's exactly what I'm looking for in a spinnerbait head. Now my only question is: Can I change the skirts on it? because if I can then I'm going to buy some to try out.

Tennessee handles
I build custom rods and I have a 6' trout rod. Anyways the handle on it is the tennessee handle, and I use aluminum rings to hold the reel on the handle. Here's a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/CORK-SLIP-RING-SPINNING-HANDLES-FOR-ROD-BUILDING_W0QQitemZ220549295851QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3359c32eeb This is the type of handle that I have on my pole. It works good and allows me to switch reels. I've never tried the tape on the reel seat yet.

need suggestions for spinnerbaits
hey guys I've been looking at my collection of lumaflex spinnerbaits, which were custom made by basscraft lures, and I don't really like how the mold looks like. It looks stupid you can say. Anyways I was wondering which spinnerbait brand looks more lifelike so that I can just switch out the skirts to lumaflex skirts

Shimano Saros?
great deal on a saros. I like that reel better than my stradic reels. For the price, it can't be beat.
