From the pros mouth who fished in 2005, catching bass was no problem, most reported catches of 30 bass or more a day, problem was, they were mostly short fish. Fast forward to now, Ike prefished before offlimit period and still reports a ton of 2 yr old smallies on 6-8 inches long. 2005 big bass was a little over 3lbs correct? The FLW didn't go to Three Rivers because of the oustanding fishery at hand, they went there cause Pittsburgh ponied up the most money for them to come. 15 lbs a day on 5 five on Three Rivers. Don't think it comes close. Ike thinks that 6-8 lbs a day will have you making the cut. In 2005, anglers didn't have problem catching fish, catching keepers was another thing. Go IKE. Care to name the lake, we have members from everywhere who might be able to point you in the right direction on your home lake. Mybe they are close by region and have other lakes similar and can give you suggestions.

So, there are no certain rules in place outlawing swim wear? I have never seen speed like Mr. Bolt either. But it happens once in awhile. What he did to the 100 yd dash record and even with his showboating, smashed a record that I wouldn't have dreamed of making it look so easy. That wasn't even a perfectly ran race!!!!!!!!!and the record was shattered. So.................. Can some one peak in swimming to smash a record like that? Given what I saw in the 100 yard dash, anything is possible. Nobody predicted Michael Johnson's 200 mark to go down for along time, and Bolt made that one look easy as well. For now, anything is possible after what I saw in the Olympics.

Clear some things up since I know nothing of baseball. Pete can no longer be voted in to the HOF by the writers Assoc, that time passed in 2006? True Pete's only way in if re-instated, is by being voted in by his peers of the HOF? actual HOF inductees, True. Joe Morgan, one time HOF committe member said, and I AGREE, its not what Pete did on the field keeping him out, its the INTEGRITY issue. Seems to me, guys like Carver and others are on record on TV as saying No, period. Two things can happen if Petes re-instated, one that allows him to work in MLB, ie....Manage a team and become eligible for the HOF. Got no problem with Pete's peers voting on him getting into the Hall, cause the sampling of active members are strongly opposed to Rose getting in. Just google the topic, its in black and white to read on current members feelings towards Rose getting in. Allowing him to manage, I'm against that. Pete still can be found betting the ponies all the time. So his gambling problems never went away, even as he petitoned the MLB to re-instate him, he continued to gamble, which is legal, but if you really want back in, you gotta show some remorse, which in my heart, Pete never did or has. Well planned, the coming clean and the book. THis topic wasn't to debate if what Pete did on the field earned him a shot at Cooperstown, STATS are there, never questioned. So knowing what he did on the field played no bearing in the INTEGRITY issues off the field. Cansecos tell all book made him to be the biggest liar in the world. Years later, all the names or most of the names he mentioned have all come to be TRUE. Cansecos book wasn't so far fetched as MLB balked about or tried to cover up. Rose said Dowd's report was witch hunt and it was a lie. Years later, that report was dead on. Pete's coming clean proves that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to this day, Rose has not appologized to some of the guys he called liars in his first book. His second book don't really show remorse for his actions, but rather made excuses as to why he started gambling to justify why he bet on baseball. The only reason I feel he came clean is for shot at the HOF, not cause he was finally remorsefull for his actions, And the opportunity to sell more books and sign more autographs at an estimated 20,000 a day according to online sources. Now go google current active HOF members and see their opinions on his latest book and his motives. They don't buy it, and it leads me to believe, even if re-instated, the old guys didn't buy it either.

I have had two systems. I bought the metal stringer types with different colored floats. Half are solid colors, the other half are half white and half solid color. First off, you should have an idea as to what would be a kicker on certain lake or just solid keeper. I use the solid green marker as my money fish, kicker. One that most likely won't be culled. Green is for money. Easy enough. When I catch a barely legal keeper, which would be a cull, it gets the solid white marker. Second solid keeper gets the White/green All solid keepers get solid colors. Possible culls get white/yellow, white/ red, etc. I modified my X Tools set. I have taken the clips off the cull markers and put the metal type stringer clips on them. The clip on Cull markers will come off most of the time. Why go to the trouble if they won't stay clipped most of the time. XTools does the culling for you. It tells you which fish to release. Note, if they are that close, I'll take the culling beam and use the metal hooks already attatched to the fish to QUICKLY cull them by the balance beam. Always found the scale to be correct after two seasons on correct cull.

Is there some kind of a rule in place that say swimmers must wear certain types of swim wear? Phelp's coach is complaining that a competitor is wearing Polyurethene swim suit. Guy shatters Phelps' record by 4 seconds I believe I heard this correctly. I have seen sprinters over the years testing out different styles and materials to reduce drag. That was never questioned that I know of. Just wondering if certain types of materials have been outlawed in the pool.

He should have come clean in the first place. He lied to his fans for years, the commissioner, and his team mates that went to bat for him. Only Pete and his bookie knows who he bet on. He lied for years, I see no reason to think he's totally come clean.

How many floating bass have been found with jig embedded in their mouths? cranks? spinnerbaits? Thousand of jig bass are broken off every week. I have yet to find a dead one with a jig or any other lure in their mouths.

Within days, that wound will fester, as that bass shakes vigoruosly to free that jig, the hole will widen due to infection, most likely, the bass shakes it free or will rub her nose off objects untill its free. All of this is dependant on where the hook was embedded in the bass mouth. In the bone, may take longer, but infection and rotting will take place, in soft flesh, won't take long.

that depends upon the lake. I've seen lakes up above pool and had great days, and found lakes above pool, I couldn't get to where the fish was by boat. I like a lakes level to be safe for navigating. When lakes hit all time lows, or lower than normal, it brings nasty objects into play. That has a tendacy to give me the "pucker factor"!!!!

Why black? In the summer, standing in long weighin lines, black asorbs heat fast. Which shirt is the hottest in the summer? black or white? Dark colors asorb the heat fastest. Just something to consider. I have the black and clear.

After 3 nice days of warmer weather in the dead of winter, break that Jig n pig out and soak it slow, slow enough to watch the hook "rust", thats a bit longer than "watching paint dry". Watch the line, jig bites in the winter for me is constant line watching. This is the time of the year, that a bass inhales or sucks that jig up, its not a thump most of the time, and the only time you really feel that bass is on the exhale and its too late. Do kids hibernate in the winter time? You don't see them in the parks like you do in the summer. Do motorcyclists hibernate in the winter time? Or do they come out and play on nicer days? Is the crawdad a member of the lobster family? Here are a few things I knew already. Lobster prices always are higher in the winter. I always thought it was "out of season" prices. So, I read some articles on Lobster catches in the heart of winter. And its 50/50 on the lobster fishermens opinions. I heard dormant, hibernated used alot. I also heard the same rhetoric as to they are coldblooded and aren't required to feed as much, so they are moving less, they are deeper than normal due to colder or longer winter and haven't moved into normal fishing grounds. But guess what, these guys are still running those traps in the winter and getting some, just not the spring/summer catch rates. I googled Canada and crawdads to see if there species showed anything different considering they have longer winter, less warmth.

I learned about Alewifes in Lake Michigan and Salmon fishing when stationed at Great Lakes Ill. No south winds, no alewifes, no salmon, Good southern winds, good alewifes, great salmon fishing. The test, if you could jig alewifes next to the jetty, pier, shoreline, you were gonna catch the coho's. No bait, no coho. Pretty simple. Pretty simple, 3 days of good winds positions the alewifes, and that positioned the coho's. The "key", was the wind positioning the bait fishes food source. Having too much bait is never a bad thing. It gives the bass fry a better chance to survive when they aren't the number one target on the menu. Take the annual alewife runs out of the equation and your fry becomes the top of the food chain most likely.
