  1. Quinn, Bass don't have hands to hold onto baits, when you feel that tap, set the hook, chances are its in their mouths.
  2. Sharelunker was caught yesterday on Sam. First one since the two in 2005. 13.25, she fell to a red lizzard to a guy from Sam Rayburn Tx. She looked as if she was in the middle of spawning, she was roughed up on the undersides, she has been fanning and rubbing alot. Dogwoods are in blossom in East Tx, means the spawn is on in full swing. Way to go Sam!!!!! Nice toad.
  3. Anyone else gonna be at the BassCat Invitational? Looking forward to the trip. Chase and L Train are fishing Norfork as we speak. Hookem
  4. Most malls have photo transfer art. You know, where you take a picture of the kids and they tranfer them to a T-shirt, coffee mug and such. Get a digital picture and he can transfer that picture to lots of items. Matt
  5. I don't think you need a poll, each area has the number of topics and posts already counted. Also, the forum will be seasonal in some sections. Like........ Everything else, when college and pro football commences or gets close, that section picks up.
  6. That year was 1997, the first year I fished Cypress Park. The two fish that were caught were tagged and released. Those fish swam over 20 miles to get back home, one of them did it in two weeks. Those fish knew were there home waters was and knew where she wanted to spawn. I don't see why not, animals all have instinct, migratory birds manage to fly to the same spots every year, wild animals make the same migration routes every year, and lots of fish migrate up streams that require 100's of miles of travel to reach sqawning streams. Why think not when evidence all around shows that most species migrate every year.
  7. Fork kicked another one out, back to back, this one came on my daughters Birthday yesterday. 13.29, the guy was with his bass club from Missouri. Live waterdog.
  8. According to the link I googled, their are guides and fishing reports for the Scituate Reservoir in Providence County, RI. http://www.fishingworks.com/lakes/rhode-island/providence/north-scituate/scituate-reservoir/
  9. Welcome to the forum. A gesture of kindness on your part is posting the GPS coordingates to your honey holes. LOL Welcome Matt
  10. Matt, Fork kicked out a sharelunker this weekend. Looks like the 13+ fish just started showing up this weekend. 2 caught within 24 hrs apart on Amistad, New lake record at Lake Waco with a 13.87, and another one from Richland Chambers, and Fork's. Time to hit Fork. Matt
  11. I like beads when I'm throwing large profile baits such as 8 inch magnum lizzards or 10+ inch worme. So, in the summer, when I'm fishing from 15 feet and deeper, I like the bead. I shake the worm like a jig somedays.
  12. I have not been on Jennings since 94. Used to live close to that lake, but fished Hodges, San V, El Captain, Otay and others more. Welcome to the forum. Matt
  13. Only that you are making it about the right time. Two 13+'s caught within 24 hours from this last week. One was donated to TPWD in Athens, the other released. Seems the big girls are showing up now. 13.87 was caught on a small lake, Waco, and one down the road at Richland Chambers. Welcome to the forum and hope you catch a toad of a lifetime. Great lake, hope the weather and wind cooperate for ya. hookem Matt
  14. Sorry the weather didn't cooperate fully. Glad you got to catch some.. Nice looking toad. Matt
  15. Going back and looking back at old threads. This war is still going!
  16. No cabin fever for this guy.
  17. I always liked this joke..
  18. Congrats on the Am Preloader position. Thats the same thing I was doing when I left UPS. Preloading and Next Day Air Delivery. Sure does allow for hitting the lakes and getting more time on the water during the summer.
  19. Big worms are a staple on Fork during the summer months. Hard to beat Power worms in Junebug, Black and Blue, Plum. Gene Larews Fire and Ice for nights and Tequlla Sunrise in 12 inch worms.
  20. We fished Rayburn a few weeks back. Rain and wind, but we had some good numbers. Two 30 lb sacks took top honors. We will be down there late April for 3 day tournament, post again and I'll give some updates then. She was low in Feb, bass was in the grass getting ready to spawn.
  21. I havent been in a few years, but a 7inch purple with white tail has always been my go to bait. I also love the black and blue jig off baffle dike at night. Always some good bass off that rip rap at the end of the dike, real deep off the point. I like working the deep trees to the right of the launch ramp in that cove in front of the fishing pier. And the long point just as you leave the launch ramp. That is a long tapering point. 45 degrees coming off the ramp to the left side is an old tank under water that produces also. Welcome to the forum, I lived in Austin until 2000 prior to finishing off my degree, any questions on the central Tx lakes, just shout, we are getting nice group of Texans from CenTex. Hookem Matt
  22. Be sure to scout the areas out. All that work, place them good so they pay off for ya. In Texas, we have lots of local jack potters that fish there brushpiles every year. They get paid pretty well most of the time. Good luck, I hope the extra effort paysoff for you. Matt
  23. Fishing with it, that was a good joke!! LOL I don't know what an autographed Sexy Shad would be worth in the future, but just knowing it was KVD signature makes it priceless in my book.
  24. Welcome to the forum. Hookem
  25. Welcome to the information hwy. Welcome Matt
