  2. I'm sorry, did I miss the lesson in showing class.
  3. I didn't want to hi jack Matts thread. Thought I'd share some facts that are currently happening. This year at Lake Fork, we had 37 states represented, as we do every year, if not more, some years less. Sept is vacation time for many families during the Sealy McDonalds Big Bass Splash for Cash. First off, for over 20 years, Bob Sealy has hosted these tournaments benifiting the Ronald McDonald house in Tex, La. and now in Georgia and Florida. First off, guides on Fork or pros aren't eligible, its the largest amatuer Big Fish tournament. Even has kids divisions , up to 12 years old, for bass, crappie, catfish, perch, til noon for 3 days straight at all the adults tourneys, thus family affair. Sealy pays out 12 places every hour from 8 to 3pm every day for 3 days, thats 286 hourly checks, from 1000,900,800,700,600,500 all the way down to 200.oo for 12th place for that hour. Thats 3 days of fishing for an entry of $200.00. you don't have to fish all three. Sealy paid out 1.5 million dollars in 2007 at Events held on Sam Rayburn in April $560,000.oo, Toledo Bend in June $360,000.00, Lake Fork in Sept, $400,000. Thats only half the fun. At Sam, he gives a boat (Triton valued at 17K, or gives away sometimes 5 grand for the first bass weighed in for a 3.00,4.00,5.00 every days for all three days. People, thats for all 3 weights, not one. If nobody wins the 4lb even fish Friday, that prize will be drawn at random on Sunday and given away. All Prizes are guaranteed. At Fork, its for the first 2.50 every day wins a Triton TR186. If no one hits 2.50, it drawn and given to a paid contestant. This year was Bobs second year on Guntersville, and first year in Florida. Bob Sealy Outdoors is the organization that host the Redfish cup by O berto beef jerky. Class act, family driven and oriented. Check Bob Sealy outdoors on the web to learn more. You just might want to come down sometime for a fall Bass Resource get together with your families and fish Fork. Do you guys remember the story of the 11 year old fishing the Big Bass Splash with his Dad? He caught and 11+ to win over 100,000.oo. The first place package is always the Sportsman's Package, a new Hummer H2, a new Triton 21 X2, a travel trailer, and a Bad Boys Hunting Buggy, value at over 120K. One fish is all it takes. There are a lot more things that happen, you just got check him out. Matt
  4. Sorry GMan, Rodney is starting safety for the Patriots, #37. I never considered Marvin being out last Sunday. Totally forgot. Matt
  5. I personally think they screwed the old Coach. They sure didn't give him the time they are gonna give Charlie. Ty had 3 years, Charlie has been given 10 years. Charlie's wins came with Ty's recruits. So far, Charlie hasn't had any luck with his young recruits. Notre Dame deserves the beat down also, after all, they have done the same to Navy for years. It wasn't beat down, but a win helps the healing. Matt
  6. The Pack will becoming to Dallas the end of the month. Could be for home field advantage, and may be not. Dallas kinda of slowed down last year, and the Pack the last 2 years seem to play the best ball when the playoffs are already out of the picture. They have been one of the hottest teams late season. This year, if they do that, they may be favorite to make it to the Dance. As long as Farve retired after the Super Bowl, I could live with Dallas losing to them one more time. Farve is a guy that is hard to dislike even though he plays for the opponent. Matt
  7. Posted by: Matt Fly Posted on: Nov 3rd, 2007, 5:10pm Quote: Congrats on the Beat down of NU. They deserved that, and a few more. For years NU, did the very same. I don't like it for the players, but the fans deserved to be on the other end after all those seasons. Ok, one more thing. I can't believe that you are taking shots at Nebraska's fans. Several national sports writers has stated that NU has some of the best fans in the sport. There have been several times over the years when NU has lost a home game and gave the opposing team a standing ovation for their great efforts that day! I'm hinting at when Texas came up to lincoln a few years ago and won. Easy fellow. First off, I do think NU has some of the classiest fans. I have been to 3 UT NU games, only one that UT lost was in San Antonio. I have never seen better fans. Its nice to be a kansas fan, after all, haven't they been the one to set through all the beat down in the past. Get real, alot of fans aren't students, students come and go, but fans are there every year. So do the players, come and go. They are the ones that deserves to be on the winning side, and a few more just like it want tarnish Nebraska. I'm sure you can find the very same posted on another thread on this forum and others. NU has had the classiest fans I'v seen in the Big XII. But I won't change my feelings, KU and its fans deserve to give a few more beat downs, Trust me, when it comes to basketball, there are alot of colleges that would like to do the same to KU basketball program. Hope this misunderstanding is clear. Matt
  8. Check the stats on games Harrison is out. Pats are statistically better without him. I was big Harrison fan when he was a Charger. I don't see it, but thats what the gurus pointed out. Matt
  9. I can't believe Saban didn't have them ready for Les MIles special plays. LSU' trick plays hurt Bama. Matt
  10. IF, IF , IF, They didn't come in a beat them the way you predicted, and the Colts played better than you gave them credit for. Dallas had a lead half way into the 3rd Qtr, Indy had a lead in the fourth qtr. But to say that Jax and Tenn are jokes. Your opinion has turned out to be a joke don't you think. Your prediction wasn't close, not even close. When all was said and done, the Pats had to mount a ten point come back, and you still don't give them the respect. You won the game, but didn't win the respect were it counted. Indy still thinks they could beat em. And watching that game, they can.\ They really stomped them good! you sure predicted every thing except score and excuse of why yall didn't beat them by 21........ Matt
  11. Some very pretty scenry. Thanks Matt
  12. What happened to the 21 points? And Yes, the Patriots are currently the best team in the NFL. They will get a chance to do it again, or at least for the fans, I do, the game was alot better than most gave credit to. Matt.
  13. That is a very good point Mike bat, Green Bay the last two seasons have been on a mission, its the first half of the season that has hurt them. Matt
  14. Brett, Sure isn't making the simple mistakes he has the last 5-7 years. GB's defense, and Farve's new found patience is magical to watch. With Brett and their defense, GB is an UGLY looking team that gets the job done. As long as Brett don't force the ball, stays patient, and takes what they give him, Green Bay is team you can't take lightly. Good game to watch thus far. Matt
  15. I don't know Catt, I remember a OU/Oregon game a few years back that had a few bad calls.... I'd wish LSU luck, but we're fighting for the same spot right now. Do we all agree that the OU/Oregon game had some very bad calls, that weren't even questionable to most, is that a correct assumption? Based on what I have seen with gambling and officials, one could assume that the calls weren't even borderline calls. After the over whelming majority of officials in the NBA who admitted to violating the rules, one could almost assume this guy was on the take. Hard to say, but those calls were terriblely wrong. When sports books taken in Billions, makes me wonder now. Matt
  16. Prayers sent. Matt
  17. You got me, since KU is now fifth in the BCS and undefeated, I'll take KU just because they are undefeated and I think, have a better shot at the Championship game. I meant to say AP, I don't know why I said BCS today. Its still a win win. Matt
  18. Thanks!!! OU isn't looking bad 21-0 Matt
  19. Here Kitty Kitty kitty....I know Catt's breathing easier now this one is in the books. Matt
  20. Texas has trailed the Okla St Cowboys by more than 21 in the past 4 years. And come back in the second half the first 3 times. Will my horns make it 4 years in a row? Not looking good with under 3 minutes to play and OSU inside 20. 35-35 Hook'em Horns Matt
  21. Hail Navy. Matt
  22. Colt secondary predominantly play zones, very seldom do they play man. So thats not in the game plan. Remember opening weekend, the colts and the saints, saints acquried the cornerback from Indy's SB defense. Payton torched that poor guy, he never had to play man in Indy, and it showed. Rondel, Don't confuse crying over pointing out the not so obvious. I merely said NE hasn't taken the foot of the gas, so their stats are gonna be better, alot better. Therefore, the Colts have scored high numbers, and if you allowed Payton to continue running the offense, the gap between the two teams wouldn't look one sided. Next, If its your honest opinion that Tenn and Jax are jokes, and the schedule Indy has played is weak compared to who the Pats have faced, you really don't follow football. You need to really look at the numbers. Those defenses are tough and amoung the best. I don't know what you have been watching, but the Titan aren't pretty to watch, but they didn't have losing record last year, and are currently 5-2, did n't Jax have ten win season last year? 5-2 or 6-2 this year. Lets see, the key to good teams starts with solid defenses, they have that. They have both been winning the last two seasons, and its easier to build an offense. Jax and Tenn have good running game. Jack Del Rio record speaks for itself, and Jeff Fischer isn't to shabby either. Go Navy!!!! Matt
  23. Tigers 17-3
  24. Whether Kansas is the real deal or not won't be seen for awhile. Kansas has a very good coach and he's doing a great job. I have no doubt that KU would give Texas a beat down either. Congrats on the Beat down of NU. They deserved that, and a few more. For years NU, did the very same. I don't like it for the players, but the fans deserved to be on the other end after all those seasons. Tough one for me this year. I am Texas first, Big xII all the way. I'm a mizzou fan because of the young qb is native texan that played near by, and kansas is always on the bottom, win win for me, either or will do for the south. Matt
  25. Truth be said, my inital reply was to simplly say some times they can be that simple and one piece of info is all that is needed. This topic has barely been scratched. Visible known targets are easier, but what about the open water, no visible clues? My philosphy is to always find the food source, which for my lakes is shad primarily, and I find it alot easier to pattern the shad at certailn times of the year instead of trying to figure what the bass are doing. Theres more than one way to skin a cat!!!! Matt
