Moss has torched us every chance he gets, and yesterday was no different, except he let his friends in on the action also. We took the lead early in the third quarter after holding the Pats opening drive. Moss don't look like the punk the analysts portrayed him to be all thses years. Its amazing when you believe in winning, and Brady is all about winning. Camera's didn't show it yesterday, but New England was eating pop corn on the sidelines the last minute or so of the game. Pretty funny. Wade is upset at New England for not taking a knee. I think Belacheat is gonna lite everyone up just to show them who's number one!!! New England at this time of the year is the better team, remember, we have said the same about Peyton before only to have Pitt or New England upset them in the playoffs with home field advantage. I can only say that Brady is a winner and should be favored. He has never had the names to throw to like Peyton has. Randy and Tom are dangerous combo to defend. No respect for the Cowboys, and thats okay. A little quick refresher, Patriots have faced teams with a combined record of 7-17 and the boys are something like 6-19 or close. Neither team has played a good or great team. San Diego was supposed to be early test for NE, and the real Chargers or the Chargers from 2006 didn't show up. The Boys real test was supposed to be Da Bears, and that didn't pan out to well either. No matter what happens, NE will get first test against 2nd best Offense in NFL, and Cowboys will see the best offense in action as well. If you gamble, as of today, I'd take the points and the boys just because this isn't the Boys of post triplets era any more. We have a young QB that is very capable. 15 games is all the action he has seen in the NFL, he's over 4000 yards in 15 games. The boys wiill go 6-0 this early season. I don't care if its an UGLY win again. Winning is what its about. I see the same problem for both teams. Espn has said Ben Watson will make the difference, as no Cowboy will be able to cover him, specially Roy Williams when he gets singled up coverage on him. Remember that in Texas our fall may not have progressed as far as say Minnesota's fall has at this time. Our surface temps are in the 70's and minnesota's may be in the lower 60's as of now, I don't know for sure. Fall means that weather conditions are soon to change if they haven't been already. Fall means patterns change from one day to the next for awhile, that the bite may be good for a few days and be dead for 5 days due to foul weather. REmember that metabolism drive a bass. I like your approach with numerous baits tied on covering different depths in the water column. Seasonal patterns should help you pick some areas out to start with. This time of the year, bass are chasing bait to fatten up for the winter and to promote egg growth for next year spawn. I say that because there is no place that I fish on a lake in texas that doesn't have some type of forage bait. What makes fall so interesting is, that some of the dead water I never fish may now be holding schooling fish during this time of the year. Once I have caught a few on cranks or spinnerbaits, and the bite slowed in that area, I'll then turn and work some plastics in the same areas more thoroghly. Yesterday, the bass where 3.5 miles back in the creek, This weekend, they were on the main points and secondary points, they are moving every day, The shad are moving that much and that fast. So are the bass. Until the water temps drop into the middle 50's, the bass are gonna be active, and then, bass activity to me is dicatated by warming trends through the winter. matt

the live magic shad works well, swims true enough. Currently one bait my lady friend insists on using. All the time. Seems to me, her favorite pattern is to fish bridge pilings all day. Numbers have been too good. Ever notice how a minnow or bait fish is swimming when being chased? Seems to me erratic swimming would be good thing in most cases. I like the bait alot, it just produces, but so does a fluke. Matt

Jeff Gordon is the enemy, a short little mama's boy that wears Rainbow colors. I couldn't have agreed more on the race Sunday. One of the best timed moves I have ever seen, even if it was by the Rainbow warrior himself. I stood next to Jeff at Texas Motor Speedway a few years ago. I never realized he was that short. Don't know you area and location, but if you are on mainlake, you might want to try to fish in the creeks. This time of the year, the bass are normaly in the creeks where temps have cooled some and baitfish have moved to the back of some creeks, coves and such. Don't matter if seasonal temp are uncommonly hot for this time of the year. The bass know fall has began due to shorter days and longer nights. Mattt
