  1. Rage craws or paca craws for me. On swim jigs its a rage tail menace or a single tail grub.
  2. why are trout so fragile?
  3. DVT will hook you up. On knowing if they perform better, i dont know. i swapped out my bearing in my Revo Premier with Boca bearings, but that real was so smooth and flawless before, cant really tell the difference.
  4. i am on my 4th XBOX 360 since they came out. I always buy a warranty with it, but i sitll have to pay to have it replaced or fixed. I get the red lights of death. My PS3 is really all i ever play anymore. I dont go on the internet with it or anything, but gameplay is great. My 360 has froze up on me countless times, my PS3 only once. I was getting so frustrated with my 360 breaking or freezing that i havent played it in over a year.
  5. a slow rolled swim jig in a bluegill pattern would be what id be throwing. That looks like a swim jiggers dream.
  6. When i said finesse i was thinking of working a Senko at an extremely slow pace.
  7. I was out in the garage today messing with tackle and the boat and stuff. I got to thinking, my fishing style matches my personality. I am impatient and always have to be busy or doing something. I am a horrible worm dragger and not a very good finesse fishermen. I fish jigs faster than most people, and throw swimbaits and other moving lures.I am always moving, when im working a spot, im thinking of where im going to move next. Its my downfall as a fisherman, but its my personality and cant change it. Does your personality match your fishing style?
  8. My suggestion is a Gen 3 SX (lighter and better looking than the gen 2) or if you can find a gen 2 Premier on sale, i highly suggest getting that. The Pflueger Patriarch is another really good reel for the $200 mark. If your purchasing off everyones vote, you will end up with the Shimano, the Shimano guys are loyal and have the numbers.
  9. that thing is a football. Nice swimbait bass
  10. if you can post some pics, that would be awesome. I love looking at old lures.
  11. looks good, but like stated above, i dont think your going to hit 60 mph. I have an 18 footer with a 10 and i max out at 56 with just me in it and no gear.
  12. chetek area. If you want to PM me your name and address, ill send you some jigs that wil get you started.
  13. you can get one, it will cost you a lot and there really is no way of silencing it. Just taming it. Ammo isnt cheap either. By the time you buy the gun, silencer, .50 cal rounds, you have more invested in muskrat extermination than you do what the boats worth. But you would have the most bad**** muskrat killer in your neighborhood.
  14. i have my most success in northern wisconsin on a black/blue jig with a blue saphire rage craw. That should get bit, get a pack of black/blue fleck rage craws just in case they dont want that bright blue.

LOL, my fishing buddy couldnt wait to get a dancing eel.
  16. X2. If youre throwing topwater, you want a line that floats, so you need either braid or mono. Power Pro is my braid of choice.
  17. mine went last night, although she doesnt like Twilight. Her friend is single and didnt want to go alone. I sat in my recliner, had a few IPAs and watched the Bulls get killed by the Clippers. Little slice of heaven, minus the Bulls losing.
  18. im willing to bet there is craws in your lake. I fish a northern wisconsin lake that my buddies family has property on. We have been going up there for 20 years or so. He insists theres no craws in the lake. The fish in my avatar was caught at that lake and when i swung him into the boat he spit up a half chewed craw that was massive. It had a dark green, rusty orange color, and brown. I always bring my jig tying material with me. I set the mangled craw on my table and matched it as best i could and it was killer. The Bama Craw rage craw was a perfect patch to the craw and jig. It was deadly
  19. this would help. Might cause some collateral damage though
  20. iv even carolina rigged a punch skirt. Tie a normal c rig, with the skirt on the main line, then put on ur swivel and i usually only use a 5-8 inch leader. this is a good presentation with a float tube or beaver. It looks amazing in the water.
  21. that was awesome. I dont know what i would have done, but i know that was not one of them.
  22. Im gonna have to make me a few of these. I like that short stubby skirt.
  23. never really had a porblem with a fellow fisherman that made me lose my temper. But this past year i was in wisconsin. I had just bought my ranger and was very anal about it. I was on a small lake that has an occasional pontoon boat, but its mostly musky fisherman. I was on the dock having a beer and a cigar and all of a sudden 2 jet skis come around the point. They decide to play around on there jet skis within 50 yards of the dock where my boat is tied too. The waves are knocking my ranger around pretty good, i had bumpers but it still upset me. That same trip, me and my buddy took his boat over to the bar on the lake to pick up our wives. We pull up to the dock and some guy comes out screaming at us. THis guy and his wife are yelling at us and calling us every name in the book. We had no idea why he was so upset. He told us that him and his wife had live suckers out there long lining for muskies and that we ran over his line. These two people casted out and were sitting in the bar while there poles are out there. No bobbers or anything, we had no way of telling if there was line in the water. He really got mad when my buddy tells him that his outboard costs much more than the line on his pole.
  24. As the title reads. Why are the rods in upwards of a $1,000? Are they that much better than a St croix, or Loomis? I can understand good components and blank, but a $1,000 rod seems crazy to me. And there reels are crazy expensive too. What can they possibly due to them to make them sell for that kind of coin?
