  1. leave me alone, and tell your evil cousin The Rod and Reel monkey to leave me alone also. Tackle warehouse has killer deals, no, leave me alone.
  2. It was only a matter of time before they came in and voted lol
  3. recession?what recession? I also made a bad career choice.
  4. The local catfishing guys chop of chicken breasts and marinate them in Anis and they catch fish. Im assuming it would work for plastics as well.
  5. you can get one on ebay
  6. how about a pic with the cover off from that angle
  7. your job sucks, ill trade you.
  8. If you are having porblems with your hard baits rusting. Just drill a few holes in the box on all sides. It will help air flow and keep your hooks from getting rusty.
  9. i believe he got the Gen 2 SX, he said he got it on sale, the Gen 2 SX is on sale. The gen 3 is not. My gen 3's arent as smooth as my Gen 2's, but theyre still a lot smoother than those can opener Shimanos. lol
  10. robo worm zoom trick worm
  11. I know you dont want to hear this, but take it completely apart and soak the bearings in acetone. Take bearings out of acetone and let dry, apply a single drop of oil to each bearing, and replace in there correct spot. If this doesnt help, i would send back. I noticed that my Gen 3s had an insane amount of grease on everything. But at no point did they feel un smooth, just didnt feel as smooth as a reel with clean and oiled bearings.
  12. I needed a rod to put my Gen 3 Revo SX on. After much research and browsing the forums i decided that the Phenix Recon was the rod i needed. I purchased it from TW with there 20% off black friday sale. I recieved it today and when i got home from work i threw the SX on it and headed to my local neighborhood pond. I knew i wouldnt catch anything, but just wanted to throw a jig around because this combo will get used for jigs about 90% of the time. I got the 7 foot 1 MH action. - First Impression When i opened the rod, i couldnt believe how good it looked and how well constructed it was. It was flawless. The first thing i noticed was how light it was, but still felt very strong. I have a 6-8 M Rage rod that is VERY light, and this 7-1 MH Recon is just as light, but feels very strong for how light it is. I bought this rod because the reviews said it had a softer tip, i prefer a softer tip over a super stiff tip like a Veritas (my flipping rod). - Fishing Sensitivity is between good and great. Not great, but better than good. I have seen where this rod has breaking issues, i was RIPPING my jig out of the slop and never felt like the rod would fail. I threw a 1/2 oz Redeye, Spinnerbait, T Rigged Rage Craw, weightless Fluke, 3/8 oz homemade jig, 1/4 oz swim jig, and a 1/8 oz shakey head with a Robo worm and it threw them all with ease. This could be credited to the great SX, but the rod definately plays a huge part in casting ability. -Overall I would say this rod feels like a $200+ rod for only $160. The only rod i own that compares to this is my Cumara, and i would take this Recon. I have yet to land a fish or use it extensively, but I am very impressed with the rod and how well its priced. Sad thing is the Ranger is winterized in the garage and wont see water until April (hopefully). If anyone has this rod on there wish list, do not hesitate to purchase.
  13. throw the Hot Sauce in the garbage.
  14. i also dont like that its red, but i figured i could spray paint it black with some rustoleum
  15. Anyone have one of these of there boat? Iv had to replace several trolling motor cables due to breaking. The G Force uses a stainless steel cable. Any feedback would be appreciated.
  16. Thats wierd, a Patriarch and Revo are a very similar reel, almost identical i believe. Im no expert, but from my understanding everything is the same except for finish.
  17. But you look better doing it with an Abu. LOL, sorry, i had to say it.
  18. its user preference. Guys who fish shimano love them, and guys who fish Abus love them. Just depends what you want to spend and what feels better on your selected rod. Or you can do what i did, i bought a Curado and a Revo S. Then make your own conclusion. Whatever one you dont like, you can sell.
  19. 1/4 oz Strike king redeye, white rooster tail,Silver *** Blade, orange jig head and white rage tail grub, any shad colored crankbait. I have found that when theyre biting, you can catch them on anything. My favorite way to catch them is a 3WT fly rod and a white clouser minnow, thats a fun fight.
  20. SO you would be able to make my Gen 2 Premier a 7:1.1 instead of 6:4.1? If so, i would love for you to make that happen.
  21. i have yet to have one of my Revo S's fail on me. None have had to have a part replaced and nothing has broke. I fished one of my gen 1 Revo S's in saltwater for 6 straight days while surf fishing. It was getting drenched with water and even got dropped in the sand a few times. I didnt clean it until the end of the trip and everything worked flawlessly. I dont mind people ripping apart a product I like, but i dont respect when people rip a product that they have never used and are going by what they hear and not experience. Unless i just got the best 12 Revos ever made.
  22. when the lakes freeze over and you would rather sit on ice and look through a 10 inch hole than stay in the warm comfort of your own home.
  23. I have no experience with the Citica, but i have 12 Revo S's. I have gen 1,2, and 3s. My gen 1s are still performing great, and i have only started to clean and lube them this year. My Gen 3s have performed above my expectations, but i have only had them out a few outings. So the jury wont be out for awhile. The brakes on the gen 3 Revo S are really easy to work with and definately keep it from backlashing. Just like every product, you will have positive feedback and negative feedback. I have not experienced loss of casting distance or performance over time as stated above. Actually, my smoothest S is the first Revo i bought when they were first introduced. That exact reel had not been cleaned, lubed, or any regular maintenance since the day i bought it. See if you can find yourself a Gen 2 Revo Premier on sale, thats the best reel i have ever put in my hands.
  24. when you florida guys are fishing open water, ill be sitting on a a frozen lake pulling fish through a 10 inch hole. I WIN lol
