Hot Foot; Yes Or No?
I was thinking of getting a hot foot. Worth it? Also, can someone tell me how it works as far as going from reverse/neutral/forward? Do you still use the original boat throttle for gear change? Any general info would be appreciated.

Pro Credibility
I used to buy things i saw on fishing shows and such, but that was when i was young and dumb. Now i know that these guys are pros and im not. Just because i buy Michael Jordans shoes, its not going to make me play basketball as good as him. I base my buying off of what i read about here, general feedback, and colors. I throw SK Squarebills because i love the chartreuse sexy shad color and i have confidence in it. I take advice on how to find fish, boat position, casting angles, lake breakdown etc. from pros. But when it comes to tackle, i trust the guys on here more than i do a pro. I get Bassmaster magazine and all the articles the pros are pimping there products. I dont care, as long as theyre giving me information that will help me, thats all that matters. I understand thats there job, i dont fault them. I know pros use whatever they can that gives them the advantage. For instance, i was watching In-Fisherman the other day. They were pimping Rapala the whole show. Yet everytime theyd reel in a walleye it didnt have the Perch color Rapala in its mouth. They would edit and then show the guy holding a nice fish and a perch colored rapala and hyping up the bait. Thats just business.

Garage Organization For Tackle, Need Ideas
I am not one to give advice on this topic. I have stuff everywhere. Most of it is in the boat, but i have so much stuff that i dont bring in the boat that its on ym fishing table and peg board. Both are stuffed and overflowed. Then i have my lure making desk. Its got all the components, tools, skirts, etc. to make spinnerbaits and jigs. It will never be organized, but at least i know where everythings at.

St. Croix - Buy 2 Rods ($300) Free Rage Rod
If you like the feel of the Lexa 100 on the Premier, youll be floored when you feel the Lexa on a Rage. I had my Gen 2 Revo Premier on my rage rod. I was looking over my stuff and saw the Lexa was similar in color to the Rage rod and wanted to pair it up just to see how it looked. No intentions of pairing them together for the reason, since i love my Revo Premier on the rage. When i paired the Lexa and the rage it was a match made in heaven. So now i need to get another Rage for my Revo Premier. If finances and the wife werent an issue, i would trade all my Revo S's and there matched rods for Lexas and Rage rods. Still love my Premier and MGX though.

Need Opinions On New Reel...
I am also an Abu guy, but i was thinking about a Daiwa Lexa 100. I went to my local BPS and played around with it and decided to buy it. Granted, i havent fished with it yet. But i have taken it in the back yard and made 100 or so casts and i have nothing but good things to say about it. When i go out back and go from the Lexa to the Gen 3 revo s, the daiwa feels much better. Feels better built and seems to cast much smoother. I just hope it fishes as good as it fishes in my back yard lol.

The Bps Spring Classic Flyer Has Arrived!
I was at BPS last week and they had 2 of the new bionic (white) rods behing the reel desk. They werent available for sale yet. They had 1 spinning and 1 casting. The guy let me play with it and i was very impressed with the feel of it for a $70 rod. It was extremely light. I didnt study it like i would if i was buying it. But from the feel, i would have no hesitation on buying it for $70

Spouses
My wife only goes with me when its over 75 degrees and sunny. She just wants to sun tan. She will cast a little here and there. Last year i tied a beetle spin on for her, she was slow rolling it back to the boat and i hear her say "quit following my bait," I look over and theres a 3 lb bass following her beetle spin (i fish strip mines that have 20+ feet of visibility). I like having her there, she asks questions and such. But times i get frustrated and mad, she seems to pick me up a little and reminds me its "only" fishing. The best is when i get mad after backlashing, she will say "hey honey, hows that $100 reel doing." I just laugh, because i know its more around a $200 reel.

Your Worst Gear Purchase?
A BPS Extreme reel a few years back. I know they have a loyal following but from day 1 i hated it. My buddy bought one at the same time and loves his. Mine was a very inconsistent caster, screws would come loose, finish wore off, etc. It is now in a ziplock bag completely in pieces. I needed to borrow a spring from it the other day when i lost the one on my Revo, so i guess it served its purpose.

Your Best Gear Purchase?
Althought its not my best gear purchase. The Pro lite was my 2nd baitcasting setup iv ever bought. I have since moved away from Bass Pro reels and onto Abus, but i sitll own my Pro Lite Finesse. I dont use it often, but when i do im still impressed. Last year i foul hooked a 17 lb asian carp on my pro lite finesse with M Pro Lite 6-6 rod and 10 lb mono. Fought it for over 10 minutes, the little Pro Lites drag worked flawlessly and i landed the fish. I think i have only cleaned it 3 times since iv owned it (6 years ago i believe) and it still works as good as the day i bought it. Looks kind of beat up though, but thats character.
