Brush Piles
Just checked with my buddy the CO to be sure. In Indiana it is illegal to drop any fish attractors (man-made or natural) overboard in PUBLIC waters.

National Signing Day
I read an article yesterday in ESPN magazine about recruiting and the main point was that there is no correlation between strong recruiting classes and successful CFB seasons. During the years between 2006 and 2010, Frank Beamer at VT, and Brian Kelly at Cincy and ND had twelve recruits rated at two stars or less. ALL have one thing in common, they all were drafted into the NFL. Coaching and player development is the key.

20 Million Year Old Lake About To Be Uncovered!
I think if they find anything at all, it might be some bacteria. Nothing else. Someone will be bottling the water and selling it for outrageous prices soon.

Battery Chargers
Minn Kota 460D. A little bulky, but very effective. I like the three stage digital charging system. Only had it for one season, so I can't speak for it's durability.

Tow Vehicle Help
Do a Carfax AND an Autocheck report. Carfax is NOT always accurate. I learned this the hard way. I bought a GM Certified used Yukon Denali with a "spotless" Carfax report and then three weeks later found out it had been wrecked...TWICE! One accident report showing damage "all over". A dealer service guy ran an Autocheck report for me for free after looking at my truck and seeing some red flags that I missed. I've since bought another Denali, but not before running both reports! Good luck with the search.

Some DNR guys frown on this. It's always good to check if it's legal before you proceed.

A Piece Of My Work.
Nice work Tom! I'd hate to go to a race and watch it get all torn up. Unless that means more money in your pocket, then it would be a little different!

400 Enter Fishing Tournament, 1 Fish Caught.
Story from Chicago Tribune: ESCANABA, Mich.— Participants in a Michigan charity ice fishing tournament brought home a different kind of fish tale. The Daily Press of Escanaba reports only one fish was caught by the more than 400 kids and adults participating in this weekend's Jig It Ice Fishing Extravaganza at Escanaba Yacht Harbor in the Upper Peninsula. Big Brother Big Sisters of Delta County sponsored the fundraiser and Jason M. Pepin of Escanaba had the lone fishing success during the competition. The perch he caught weighed 4.5 ounces and netted a $3,000 first place prize. The group's executive director Tanya Schuster says some people reported seeing fish swimming in the water, but they weren't biting. Schuster says the event to help fund area mentoring programs is "more fun when you do catch fish."

National Signing Day
At ND we got a much needed five star QB in Gunner Keil. He should fit it nicely to Kelly's spread offense. We don't have anybody to fill Michael Floyd's shoes yet, but it ain't over till it's over. I'd love to see five star WR Dorial Green Beckham come to ND, but I think it is unlikely. I hope Brain Kelly and staff haven't given up on one-time ND commit Ronald Darby. He can flat out fly and if there's anything we need, it is elite speed. I think he'll end up at corner. Both of our starting corners have graduated. Another great get would be five star athlete Davonte Neal. Quick twitch slashing runner would fit nicely at ND. Overall a solid top ten recruiting class, but I think with a couple more top names added, it could potentially be a class to compete with the SEC schools. I think the SEC, specifically Alabama, has got the "snowball effect" going in recruiting right now. It's tough to compete with those schools. We shall see...

Hardest Thing I Have Ever Done
God bless you for your service bro. Skype or FaceTime (on iPad) hopefully will make it a little easier. Best of luck. Be smart. Make good decisions. You owe it to your family. Godspeed.

Which Pair Of Boots?
I would never buy a pair of boots hoping they last twenty years. I'm pretty hard on them. If I get a pair to last more than a year and a half, I'm doing great. Most waterproof guarantees last for only six months. My lineman's boots are Hall's, I rarely (thankfully) need to wear them only when I need to climb a pole. I wore them a lot when I was an apprentice. Point is, if you are wearing them everyday, no way any boot will last twenty years. Save your money and buy a good pair of boots you plan on replacing in a few years.

Railway Roof Riding
You can't really call it a stop. It cycles from "top to bottom" sixty times every second. You've felt the cycles if you have ever been buzzed by your house voltage.

Good chance it is DC. It is just as deadly, if not more.

480 will get you just as quick, and 480 DOESN'T let you go. Kinda like that guy in the video... the only reason he fell was because the citcuit relayed. I don't make too many jokes about that. I can't afford to take it lightly.

Birth Control Suggestion
oh yeah, it's all about the angles... Thats what Grandmas are for. I ALWAYS have a "project" that I need to get finished when those type of trips come up. It usually works, if not, then I volunteer to watch the other kids at home instead of "hearding cats" at the shoestore.

So kind of a natural selection of sorts. Eventually there won't be anyone that doesn't want to wear a pfd.
