  1. Great post Kent! I needed a good chuckle. To all you guys that say your wife's family is absolutely perfect... You know what they say... If everyone around you seems normal, then you must be the oddball.
  2. Come to think of it, I did have some bolts come loose only trailer last year. During a routine wipedown, I noticed the vertical tubing that the winch and bow roller are attached to (it extends up from the frame and is attached with two U-bolts) had slid aft about three inches. After some more investigation I noticed the U-bolts were loose. I moved everything back into place and retightened everything using locktight on the threads. This topic seems like it is something that not a lot of people think about very often, and is very catastrophic when it breaks. It kinda sneaks up on you.
  3. I have a terminal box with hooks, beads, weights, pegs, swivels, etc. I also have a terminal weighted box with all weighted hooks in it...swimbait hooks, shakeyheads, weighted tube hooks, etc. Both are Falcon terminal boxes.
  4. just added one more thing to my to do list this winter... U bolts.
  5. Here's a little something to help you figure out what you're looking at on your HB Side Imaging screen. This was produced by Tom Vickers from Humminbird before Down Scan was introduced.
  6. I've never had either boat. I read a lot of guys love the Sterlings but I just can't get past the 80's styling. The design of the consoles looks old to me. I wouldn't buy one for that reason alone... I think they're kinda ugly.
  7. Sifting thru some pics online and came across this... I think I'll spend this afternoon rechecking my trailer suspension.
  8. I have so many packages of Rage Tail baits that I'm in the process of moving them all to their own soft plastics binder. Speaking of which... Big O, do you have a goliath sized binder with Rage Tail printed on it? I'd love to get one if you do. I'm off to Rage Tail Website to check right now!
  9. Can't really criticize him for that. I'm just imagining myself in his shoes and I'm not sure I could have totally controlled myself either. It's gotta feel like somebody just stole something from you. He's ticked, give him a break. If you're worried about what your kids might say when they see that, use it as a teaching opportunity.
  10. Got my PB largemouth on a Rage Tail Space Monkey rage rigged. As far as confidence baits for me, Rage Tail is it. THEY PRODUCE.... PERIOD.
  11. Remember to not overfill the spool with line. Many headaches await you if you do.
  12. There's gotta be a tool for that. If not, maybe that would be a good invention.
  13. There are a lot of old threads on this site about the "to do list" BEFORE you buy a used boat. It'll be worth your time to check them out. It helped me a ton!
  14. Hello, my name is Rich, and I'm an addict. Anyone have a good glass cranking rod for sale?
  15. I use a Dobyns DX795 FLIP. I love it. Very sensitive, great backbone, action is perfect for me when I flip. I also love the fact that it's 7' 9" long. Just under $350.
  16. I just got some zenith shakey heads from siebert outdoors. I really like the looks of them. Gman makes some great stuff. Anyone ever try them? I've never tried the Picasso, they might be next.
  17. I'm in Plymouth, about a half hour south of South Bend. You guys should put yourselves on the member map.
  18. Happy birthday! I hope you at least took the day off!
  19. Makes me angry. Senseless.
  20. Just got final approval from my wife. I'm in! Filling out the registration form right now! Today is a great day.
  21. Avast is a good free anti-virus program to try too.

Yes, but the spider said "Wilbur" when speaking to the pig named Wilbur. Oh yes, I remember the horse too now. Still not going to see Warhorse, we saw Mission impossible instead. Good flick.
  23. I took the over. Woo hoo!
  24. The last color on the palette is a goofy green and red. I've never tried it, but I have been told by an expert that it's good for locating mussell beds. I'm gonna try the inverse for locating fish. You think it's the best for that Wayne?
  25. I used to tell people after cutting a big beaver pelt, " I think I know what you were doing, you were standing too close to the ball....after you hit it".
