  1. Their school don't get money, only the athletic department does. Athletic department takes in money from the venue and pays for their athletes' scholarships, stadiums, uniforms, etc. The academic side of the school doesn't receive a dime from ticket sales. Unless I missed something. Id imagine the school is getting some kind of pay, when we fill the stadium, thats over 1 million dollars right there from ticket sales. Thats only for one game.
  2. Most if not all of the first string are full scholarship. Now what we should be talking about is the bass fishing team getting some type of scholarships.
  3. ive got one that id love to do. I want to get good enough to make it to the national championship for my college. Then i want to win the nation championship us with a huge bag.
  4. I wouldnt worry about the weight being off, i have yet to see anything to tell me to buy scales and such.
  5. ha, sure you didn't get that scale for illegal operations? Don't let the cops walk in on you making some precise packaging weights.
  6. check out the abu garcia vendetta
  7. 50 really isnt bad on the james. The only time i have seen the james bad was like two times over the summer before big storms. In that weather i do slow down unless i get caught in the storm, if that happens i fly to get to the boat landing.

Im glad he is ok but i was so happy when i saw him leave the game. Just helped us win even more.
  9. dont worry about it, going slightly over the recommended weight wont hurt anything

Exactly, that game was insane though. I could not get a ticket but my dorm room overlooks the stadium. It sounded like people were yelling through my window when "enter sandman" started up in the 4th quarter.
  11. From my experience of flying small aircraft, such as 2 seaters. Most of the knobs have very little use.
  12. Thats awesome, i cant wait to graduate so i can start designing stuff like that.
  13. atleast yall have ice fishing, here in virginia the ice doesnt get thick enough to walk across unless your an idiot and like taking chances. so basicaly we cant do any type of fishing once ice hits.

  16. dangit now there will be more cops on the water, thats all i need. i got pulled over on the james for going 50 and they searched the whole boat just to end up telling me to slow down.
  17. fish the outside edges of the grass if you can figure out where that is. I have had alot of luck latly doing that.

    WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. probably not unless you were making this a deep crank rod. Even then you would want to change the line for each different technique. you want light line for deep cranks to get them down to there depth and you want heavier line for spinnerbaits.
  21. For cranking you dont need a $200+ rod, a premier will easily get the job done. Just put good high quality florocarbon line on the spool and you should be fine.
  22. check out the vendetta rods, they are cheaper then the low end st.croix and id say they are just as good as a mojo or premier. If you really want to save up then get a st.croix avid. I love my avid.
  23. From my experience with rods and reels, you get what you pay for. This is the reason i save up for a while so i can get a little bit more expensive rods and reels. The only rod that is an exception that ive owned is a abu garcia vendetta.
  24. well i was looking to get a rod that could handle heavy cover. i have a 7' avid mh that i use for most pitching but i dont feel like that would handle heavy cover to well.
  25. ya kicken i am looking for one to flip with possible. ill have to ask jody about it when i talk to him later in the week.
