    Welcome aboard!
  2. I'm not saying this is what you bought, but that sure looks like a repaired tip! I've had had broken rods where when I had a new tip put on it was an inch or so away from the second guide. This wasn't a used rod, was it?
  3. Yes, but not this year. No time. Bundle up, and if you're in a kayak that will get your butt wet, you will want to dress appropriately. There's special gear for that. I don't own any, myself, but I know guys who do...
  4. Great looking, healthy bass, indeed! Nice job.
  5. Excellent bass, Joey!
  6. Never said resemblance, LOL... "Reminds" ... humorous, what kind of fish is this? Looks like a baby bass, looks like a baby striped bass... African swallow, European swallow debate...fish debate, both debates...oh nevermind. Maybe I'm the only one who can relate the humor.
  7. Whichever, it reminds me of this...
  8. Congrats on the great bass, Beckie!
  9. Welcome aboard!

    Welcome aboard!
  11. All depends on the weather you fish in. I live in VA and fish out of a hybrid kayak/canoe in the Native Ultimate 12. No scuppers. But I've only had one issue that I had to get ashore to deal with...and it wasn't in rainy weather. Though I think scuppers are the bees knees, I love my U12 hybrid. A fantastic fishing machine. Similar hybrid would be the Commander from Wilderness Systems - fwiw.
  12. Come to think of it, maybe we both should go to make sure....
  13. Yeah. That's nice. Got anything else you can show us? Yours and your buddy's amazing catches are getting old. Saaaayyyy, are you fishing the same private pond that Bill Dance always uses??? Hmmm?
  14. Absolutely. There are people out there who put pontoons on the same kayak I have even though I say there's absolutely no need for them. I did use pontoons (homemade) on my old canoe. Helped immensely.
  15. Beat me to it, LOL. I was going to say bedding fish is...unnatural.
  16. Welcome aboard!
  17. I'll pass on that. Maybe I'll call the Gator Boys or whatever they're called that used to be on Animal Planet... Ha.
  18. As smart as John Elway is...Rhodes Scholar, etc., this move has me a tad puzzled. Butt fumble, anyone?
  19. Yeah, I hear ya. They say we're too cold in the winters for them to survive. I'm rather afraid that it is best summed up in the immortal words of Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park: John, the kind of control you're attempting is not possible. If there's one thing the history of evolution has taught us, it's that life will not be contained. Life breaks free. It expands to new territories. It crashes through barriers painfully, maybe even dangerously, but - well, there it is. Meaning: "Never say never in my waters" LOL...
  20. I was keeping track of a lot of bass I caught last year on my iPhone's Notes app. Just tracking weight, and what I caught them on, and sometimes weather conditions... But I eventually stopped to simply enjoy fishing and not worry about all the numbers. Fine for others to do it, just not my thing.
  21. RIP, Steve Irwin... Glad we don't have them in our waters here in VA. ....
  22. Welcome aboard, Zach!
  23. Happy B-day!
