  1. Hey Gordy, welcome to the forums!
  2. LOL. Amazing
  3. You know, I actually have seen this done. I guess it seemed like more work. My assumption would be though, that the black or clear shrink wrap would actually hold up better. Have you found this to be true, or are both about the same?
  4. Stocked, restocked, and reloaded!
  5. MH? Crucial? Heck, I'd use it for a lot of different techniques, but since I'm mostly a soft plastics kind of guy, it'd be that. And jigs. And probably most everything else, too.
  6. All the above. I believe you are not allowed to remove grouper from the water in FL. So you either cut the line if you can't get the hook out of the mouth in a safe manner to the fish. Could be wrong, but I believe I saw this on Saltwater Experience on the formerly Versus channel, now NBC Sports...
  7. I'll be going for sure. I go every year, but the bait monkey is more under control now, so likely won't be any new major purchases like reels or rods ... unless, for some reason, the bait monkey finds me.
  8. For those who can afford them, just like grey poupon.
  9. I remember when I first saw these at TW. Unless there is a money-back guarantee if you didn't score a record bass on the first cast, they aren't worth it but for a few fisherfolk worldwide. And I thought Kurita caught the WR on a live bluegill... (Doh, I see this was mentioned already....)
  10. Was about to write about mine. Absolutely no issue casting 1/8 oz bullet weight with a 4.75" Zoom Finesse worm. I was out once this year and cast a weightless 4" Yammie Senko - no problems. The Lexa can handle light weights. It's small enough, strong enough, and dadgummit, I like it.
  11. Not sure I have a ritual. I do make sure things are organized, but actually do so all thru the year. That said, I have been respooling a couple reels with new Power Pro, making sure my leaders are good-to-go, etc.
  12. You bet they'll work. While I personally find GYCB Senkos (the ones that started the craze) to be best, I have and use BPS Stik-O
  13. I have yet to perfect this. Actually "perfect" is the wrong word. "Risk"? I skip w/o fear with my spinning gear. Despite the fact that I use electrical tape to prevent complete spool backlash on my baitcaster(s), I still don't want to lose that 60-100 feet of braid with a backlash. Which means I'd be better off having a practice spool for my main baitcaster.
  14. I use the Albright, reverse Albright, double, but mostly Albright for joining braid to any leader material. I have used 10lb braid on one baitcaster, and I used the Albright to tie leaders. Yes, have used Uni-to-Uni, but feel the Albright is a smaller knot, and a stronger knot. At least in my experience. Just spooled 20lb PowerPro on my Lexa last night, tied a 15lb P-Line Floroclear leader to it using Albright. If you haven't already seen it, here's some info on knots for unequal line sizes, etc. http://www.animatedknots.com/usesfishing.php?Categ=fishing&LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.animatedknots.com
  15. Only a few Bo's down here in the Hampton Roads area. One in Yorktown that I know of. Had their fare a couple of times. Meh. Not bad, didn't remove KFC from my memory. Know plenty of folk who went nuts when they arrived. Me? I'm more of a Taco Bell, Wendy's kind of guy.
  16. Welcome fellow Virginian!
  17. Mmmm Spring. Senkos, jigs.
  18. Darren. replied to Arki's topic in Introductions
    Hi Arki, welcome aboard!
  19. Hard to argue with that, LOL.
  20. Maybe you only have a bait ferret. I definitely have a bait monkey.
  21. B.e.a.s.t. May the waters I fish hold a lady like that. And may she be kind enough to get stuck on the end of my line.
  22. Very true. I gawk at the prices of their gear. Heck, if I were E2, I'd have jumped ship without a second thought!
